Bamburi Beach Hotel

my family and I embarked on a journey to County 001: Mombasa early this year. We hoped that if we traveled after the holiday season the hotel would be less crowded, but it seems that a few other Kenyans were thinking just like us. Needless to say, I genuinely believe that the hotel did a tremendous job in satisfying its customers. We checked in at around 3 pm and coincidentally about 4 families that had traveled with us on the Standard Gauge Railway were also checking in around the same time. Bamburi Beach Hotel is set amid lush tropical gardens, with extensive white sand beaches overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean. The staff needs thanks in all the departments including Maintenance, Housekeeping, Animation, The Outside entertainment brought in, particularly the Tightrope performer, Pool attendants, Cleaners and Gardening. The housekeeping was very thorough every day keeping our double spacious room clean to a very high standard especially since we had our kids. The food was really great, our kids enjoyed every meal that was served. A special thanks to Chris, a restaurant waiter who made our stay very special, full of joy, smiles,s and wonderful moments. He showed full professionalism in every respect. Obliging and always smiling. Such an employee is a treasure. The best team was the animation who all go out of their way to make sure people are happy through water polo, water aerobics, playing board games, fun competitions, chatting to everyone, and their dance shows which really deserve an oscar!!! They are always happy, and friendly, take people out on local trips, look after young children in a play area, and can communicate with tourists in several different languages they have learned themselves. An experience worth traveling with kids.
