Fogo Gaucho

Fogo Gaucho is Nairobi’s meat lovers paradise serving 17 different cuts of meat and over 20 different salads, sides and desserts for all you can eat spread at Kes 2800 per person. I loved trying new meat cuts like crocodile and ostrich meat. The meat was succulent, hot and juicy , portions were quite generous, service is prompt and the restaurant was buzzing with customers catching up with their loved ones. I especially loved the grilled pineapple with cinnamon dessert , will definitely go back there to have this dessert again.

In a small restaurant back in South Brazil, Fogo Gaucho was born. One would book a table and order a skewer of meat. On this particular day, the restaurant got overwhelmed with orders and in the process, the waiter got confused and took different skewers to different tables. When the owner saw all that was happening he decided to slice the meats on the table for the customers, you bet! the best choice they could ever make. The owner realized that the customers were actually happy and more satisfied eating a variety of meats that were sliced at the table rather than only the option of a whole skewer. He (The owner) decided to charge per person a set price for the variety of meats available. This concept in Brazil is referred to as Rodizio. As you walk into Fogo Gaucho restaurant at the heart of Westlands, you notice the red drums filled with hot water for you to wash your hands, a sanitizer option is available. At a glance, I could see one of the staff smiling in her mask as she was eagerly watching to welcome me inside. Her captivating smile underneath the mask leads me to hurry up. I requested to know where my team (new family) had made reservations, and immediately I was taken to our table. This was my first time in this restaurant and I was impressed! Very novel dining concept. Having watched a number of Brazilian movies, I was already given the feeling that I was sitting in a Churrascaria (Steakhouse) right in the heart of Brazil, now I know why they call it the finest Brazilian Steakhouse! Wide (very wide!) variety of meat to sample and enjoy. Their delectable selection of charcoal grilled all-you-can-eat meats that go along with a full buffet to choose from. PICANHA, LAMB LEG, TOP SIRLOIN, BEEF RIBS, CHICKEN LEGS, BEEF SAUSAGES, PORK RIBS, PORK SHOULDERS, PRAWNS, GARLIC BEEF, RUMP STEAK, FISH FILLET, CROCODILE, PORK AND CHEESE SAUSAGES, TURKEY, SIRLOIN STEAK. After having my seat, I requested fresh mango Juice, and Billy our waiter brought just that, I liked its thickness and how it opened up my taste birds. In a minute or so we were welcomed to select what we liked from the buffet where you will find a soup of the day, a variety of 20 fresh salads along with dressings and condiments, side dishes, and hot dishes. We settled back at our table and our grill waiters come around with a selection of 17 cuts of meat all prepared to perfection, we could select what we liked and eat as much as we liked. My top 5 slices of meat were Pork shoulder, Garlic Beef, Sirloin Steak, Fish Fillet, and Chicken Leg. My favorite salad was Vinaigrette Salad. My favorite dressings were thousand Island and mango vinaigrette. The grill waiters will know if you would like meat because you will find a green/red token at your place set on the table. One turns it to green when you want more meat, and turn it to red if you want to take a break or stop. We still had space for dessert, this was a perfect opportunity to visit their buffet again and try their cakes. while at it we requested the waiters for their famous grilled pineapple with cinnamon sugar, I recommend you also try out their passion mousse. As the Fogo Gaucho possesses a unique Brazilian ambiance, it offers you to organize various private and professional events such as corporate parties, birthdays, and anniversaries. The restaurant is also accessible to persons with disability. This makes it a PLUS! I will definitely be back! and to the organizer of the meet, up thank you for choosing this great restaurant.

Fogo Gaucho has established itself as Nairobi’s Favourite Steakhouse. It’s an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse that offers the most delectable selection of charcoal-grilled meats and a full buffet. The Brazilian restaurant usually serves 17 cuts of meat and 25 different salads, sides, and desserts every lunch and dinner. I went to Fogo gaucho Wetlands with some friends. The ambiance and the décor of the restaurant are excellent. The buffet was full of fantastic food. I went ahead to the buffet and served some of the meals provided. The food display was impressive, and the food tag was easy to read. The food was a lot, excellent meat and delicious. Waiters were very friendly and professionally trained to recognize what meat you like and how you want it. They will exactly prepare it the way you like it. The service flow was exceptional. The waiters bring to your table all the types of meat prepared. The food keeps coming at you until you stop them. This restaurant has a unique way of serving guests. A card is placed on the table in two colors; if you put it on the green color, the staff will continue serving you food until you turn it red. The grilled cinnamon pineapple was the best. For meat lovers, this is a place for you. I would recommend this place to anyone. Fogo gaucho is a meat paradise.

This Brazillian restaurant has been on our bucket list for such a long considering all the hype it had received. We decidedly to try it out with a few friends. Located just a few minutes from CBD at Galana plaza, ground floor. We sat at the outdoor sitting area. The place was barely full. The waiters were so polite and attended to us promptly. They offered over 10 different types of meat and every time you wanted more, all you needed to do is just turn the card on the table from red to green and the waiter would come to serve you. We made sure to taste the pork, chicken, beef, lamb, goat, and crocodile. The chicken was really tasty. After a few rounds, we were all full and we had not had dessert yet. We had to taste their cakes and icecream before we left. For just KES2500 per person. What a deal!

Fogo gaucho is the place for you! I heard of this place a while back and I finally got to visit it with 5 of my friends. It is a Brazilian restaurant located in Kilimani on ground floor of Galana Plaza. It has such a welcoming and serene ambiance so is good for date nights or group hangouts in the outdoor section. We opted for the outdoor set up and it was arranged perfectly for us by the waiters. We are allowed to sit for a few minutes as we sipped on drinks. I had beautiful fresh mango juice and we were each given a card which has a red and green side. All we had to do was flip it on to the green side if we needed meat and the red side if we needed a break or we’re satisfied. I loved this because the waitors were so attentive and would respond immediately! We headed to the salad bar before the meal and wow it was assorted with multiple options but i just had broccoli, zucchini and carrot because I love this combination! After all this we finally turned the cards to green and he started bringing us the meat!!!He kept bringing us meat in different forms …what do I mean? Some of it sausages, choma, grilled, etc. unfortunately for me, I’d taken a bite before we went so I got satisfied just after the fourth round! So I suggest you get there with a hungry stomach. It offers over 14 different types of meat like pork, chicken, beef, goat, lamb, crocodile, rabbit, and others. The waiters are so friendly and will help you understand the type of meat you’re going to eat before you stumble on something you are allergic to. I did not like the taste of the crocodile meat but I’d definitely go back especially for the pork ribs and chicken! They have a mouthwatering desert section with a variety of options that will leave you spoilt for choice. I can’t list it because it was a lot!!! I just had ice cream because it’s always my go to desert. All this is at a cost of 25$ per person and it’s all worth it. Trust me you will not regret this decision and you should make it soon. If it’s the corona virus that got you skeptical, you don’t have to worry as all the covid guidelines are being practiced seriously.
