Glovo is a Spanish quick-commerce established in Barcelona in 2015 and functioning in 25 countries. It is an on-demand courier service that purchases, picks up, and delivers products ordered through its mobile app. It offers multiple services, with food delivery being the most popular. Other services available include pharmacy and courier. Henceforth, this company allows users to find and place orders with their favorite restaurants, which are selected when ready and delivered to the user’s doorstep. I have used Glovo many times for different deliveries, and the service is efficient, fast, and always on time. In addition, the items are always in good condition all the time. Since I started using Glovo, I have never been disappointed.

I’ve used Glovo every other time and I like that they not only deliver food, but you can also shop and have it brought to your place. It’s simple to set up and use. You download the app and set up your account using your phone number. You can choose to put a specific location if it’s where most of your orders will be delivered or choose a location when confirming your order. They also charge fairly for delivery. Most of my deliveries cost less than 200/= from Nakuru CBD to Milimani. That’s a distance of about 10km. The app lets you track your order. It’ll notify you when the restaurant gives the food to the rider. Then it updates the map to where the rider is every other minute. Also, if you order frequently, they give you discounts on the delivery fee. The rider also gets your number on the app. This helps a lot, especially with directions. In case they get lost, they can call you and you direct them. My most frequent order is the burger from Lennz pizza (they have the best burgers in Nakuru) Although unconventional (and I don’t know if it’s allowed) you can call the rider once he/she receives your order, and have them pick something from a shop near your place. This speaks to how friendly the riders are. I’m yet to disagree with any of their riders. Once the rider arrives, you should confirm the contents of your delivery coz twice, the restaurant has had my order wrong. If that happens, the rider can go back and get the correct order at the restaurant’s expense. Glovo is convenience personified.
