A spash of luxury
There’s something about luxury that just screams out loud. When you hear the word – butler – all of a sudden, you want to stand a little straighter, annunciate a little clearer, and perhaps add a little accent. Hemingways Nairobi is certainly the newest luxury property to hit the boutique market in the high-end Nairobi suburb of Karen. The 45-room boutique not only upholds the luxury expected for discerning travelers heading out on once-in-a-lifetime safari experiences but has also elevated the standard of luxury service in the area by leaving no detail overlooked. We were invited to a birthday party and I applaud the hotel for keeping its high-end standards to its core. You cannot miss noticing the beautiful chandelier hanging at the entrance of the reception sealing, the mahogany seats, and the warm welcome from the staff. This is the place where you get to meet the whose and whose of this beautiful country lol a good sigh I must say! We liked everything about Hemingways design, comfort, Service, Food, and People. The details. It was quite simply perfection. the Brasserie features a Josper oven, an indoor barbecue, and the only one of its kind in Kenya, specially imported by Hemingways to produce the best steaks sizzling. Their beef and lamb are also exclusively farmed for Hemingways, grain-fed for 180 days, and hung for 21. One thing I still miss was their chocolate mousse dessert!
