St. Gregory Koru Girls’ High School was established in 1978 under the sponsorship pf the Catholic Church of Kisumu Arc Diocese, with a view to creating increased access to education for local girls. It is located in Muhoroni Sub-county in Kisumu County. The school is about 78km from Kisumu city and about 28km off Kisumu-Nairobi highway. KGSS is surrounded by many factories and large business organizationnamely, Muhoroni Sugar Company, Chemelil Sugar Company, Homa Lime Company Ltd and Agro-Chemical and Food Company Ltd.
