Chaka is mostly a deserted town with it being mostly active on market days. The town is a 30-minute drive from Nyeri Town. The town is quite small with its population not exceeding 500 people. However this hotel is quite popular to residents from Nyeri and it’s environs. The hotel is just off the road near Shell Petrol Station. The parking lot is right in from of the hotel with a car wash just adjacent in case you want to get your car washed while you eat. The hotel is popular for its barbecue, wet fry beef and sizzling goat fry. The set up is outdoors with tables on the lush green lawn with shades to shelter from the sun. When you walk in, the kitchen is the first sight to your right from where you can order your meal as you secure a place to sit. The staff are very friendly and give you accurate estimated wait time for your meal. I recommend the samosas as an appetizer and wet fry goat or beef with a side of ugali. This delicacy will certainly lift your spirits. The pricing at this restaurant is affordable with a family meal and drinks going for $25 on the higher end. I recommend this place for families who would like to have a nice Sunday lunch with their kids or friends. Alcoholic drinks are also served here.
