Did you know Mamba in Kiswahili means Crocodile? Well, I thought you should know. Are you fascinated by watching a bask of crocodiles lazing around? then Mamba Village Nyali is the place for you. Situated on the Beach Road Round About off Links Road, Mamba Village Centre is really the largest crocodile farm with a wonderful restaurant serving crocodile meat, an all-night disco, a lovely flower farm, an aquarium and snake farm, and a place where you can let your inner kid out! Horse riding, ostrich riding, water bicycles, boat rides, camel rides, etc. Mamba village has never failed to impress. A tour of the farm starts with a movie on the life cycle and behavior of crocodiles by the friendly staff. The environment is clean and well-kept. It is followed by a comprehensive tour of the rest of the farm and ends with the highlight of the day: a spectacular scene of blood-thirsty crocodiles fighting for food during feeding time. Excellent cuisine is available at the Mamba Restaurant, and the house specialty is superbly grilled crocodile meat. Souvenirs of your visit can be bought at the Mamba Souvenir shop located within the village. They also have an art gallery! We were here for brunch and we loves the therapeutic scenery Mamba has to offer. you can even have a crocodile burger if you fancy it, LOL! Mamba Village Centre has crocodiles from all categories/stages, from giant (Big Daddy -Man eater) crocodiles to baby crocodiles (just hatched) and white crocodiles. Give my regards to the big daddy !!! I can’t forget the biggest crocodile I saw. The firm has a feeding time schedule every day at 5 pm and it is incredible to see this experience as the crocodiles jump up a few meters from their pool to grab a bite of meat. A tour of the firm would be wonderful and takes 2 and a half to three hours visiting the Crocodile firm, camel riding within the same compound, Horse riding or the mamba restaurant which offers a wide range of crocodile meat and sea foods. Indeed a fascinating crocodile world you don’t want to miss whenever you are in Mombasa!

Mamba Village Centre, located in the upmarket Nyali area, is a top-rated tourist attraction for residents and none resident tourists alike, famed for its crocodiles kept within. A large reptile conservation farm, with guided tours, crocodile feeding & a children’s playground. It is an incredible tourist attraction that combines wildlife farming and conservation and is environment-friendly for all tourists. It’s one of the best places to visit in Mombasa to face your fear by holding snakes and crocodiles. I had a fantastic experience watching the animal provided food by professionally trained personnel. In addition, Mamba village has a Restaurant that offers a magnificent view of the crocodile farm, and one can enjoy the Crocodile Steak, a Treat among the many visitors. The Restaurant is well known for serving delicious crocodile meat.

My little cousin loved this place

4.33/ 5

Located 13km from Nairobi city center, Mamba village is the perfect gate away from the hustle of the city. A cab from the CBD costs KES580 but there is the option of using public transport which is way cheaper. This is the perfect place to take kids whether on a Sunday afternoon with the family or on class trips. For sure, they will have a great time. There was a time I took my small cousin. He was very excited. At the entrance, the fees were KES200 for adults, KES100 for children, and USD10 for non-residents. It is a couple of restaurants. We immediately went got see the crocodiles. There are quite a number of them and really big ones. We got to see them being fed. There were also a few ostriches and we got to feed them. My cousin took plenty of photos and I could tell that he had a great time. At the restaurant, I tried the crocodile meat which was pretty good although my cousin couldn’t bear the thought. He has fries and soda. We had a really great time.

Mamba village centre is a playful amusement park with bumper cars, a merry-go-round and other rides, plus a big crocodile farm. It is located at Nyali, Mombasa along links road. It has ample parking space and there is also a wheelchair-accessible entrance. It was the the first time I saw a huge crocodile, the very famous Big daddy at more than 1.3 tones of weight and over 100 years old. It has great tour of the reptiles (crocodiles), you get to learn so much at the crocodile farm. The best time to go is in late afternoon, because then you get to see them feeding the mambas. You can take photos with the little crocodiles under supervision. The mamba restaurant offers great meals. I tried their crocodile meat for the first time at 1,000KES per 1/4kg and I was really impressed with its unique savory taste. I would highly recommend trying out the crocodile meat. The food portions are decent and affordable and the service was fast. The staff are also very friendly. It is a great place for family hangouts especially for kids.
