Mololine is a reknown transport provider in Kenya. Nakuru–Naivasha–Nairobi. They ply the Nairobi-Nakuru route and the Nakuru-Nyahururu route, they also carry travellers to Molo,Kericho,Kisii, Eldoret, Kitale, Muhoroni, Busia, Egerton, Mau Narok, Kabarnet and other areas as well. In Nairobi, their offices are located in Nyamakima where booking is done to board the shuttle. I mainly use them to ply the Nairobi-Nakuru route which costs sh400 and their services are impeccable. They also offer delivery services. Their drivers are well mannered, drive carefully and the vehicle does not make several stopovers along the way unless they are dropping a passenger or stopping at a gas station. I also like how clean and new their cars usually look.

Mololine has got to be the most known transport service in Kenya. Popularly known for its numerous routes throughout the country. This transport agency goes to Nairobi, Nakuru, Kericho, Kisumu, Eldoret, Kitale, Eldama Ravine, Kabarnet, Mombasa, Busia,Migori,Sirare and others. I usually use the route nairobi – nakuru and nakuru – eldoret. Their booking office in Nakuru, Milimani annex is so huge with room for seating and even a small store that sells a variety of snacks and some fried goodies. They staff are very polite and welcome you the minute you step in the gate. They even help you carry your luggage to the car. They also search their passengers before the trip begins and don’t stop till they reach nairobi. The booking office in Nairobi is quite small with only less than 10people at a go allowed to enter. Their cars are quite comfortable carrying only 10 people. The seats are spacious and can be slanted. Their prices were relatively fair with Nakuru-Nairobi being around 400KES before the pandemic but increased to 700KES. They are also very popular for their parcel services. You parcel gets to you in good condition. I never travel with any other car service.

Quick affordable means of transport but after the journey woe unto my long legs.

Mololine is a very prominent transport company in Kenya.I have used their services severally and mostly is when I’m ravelling from Nairobi to Kisumu. They have easily accessible bus stages with the one in Nairobi being next to Odeon and the one in Kisumu being next to this location called Stage.Their prices on a normal day are usually very affordable. They used to be 1000/= before the pandemic for a one way trip either to or from Nairobi. With the new restrictions in regards to the number of people one car can carry due to the COVID pandemic, the price is about 1500/=.What I genuinely don’t like about this nissan is that their prices can sometimes get hiked even up to 100%.This frequently occurs during the festive season .When planning to travel using Mololine I would advise making prior inquiries about the current going price to avoid getting stranded and disadvantaged.Their seats are okay. Not very comfortable and not too badly off.If you are tall there is only so much leg room available and the journey may be otherwise strenuous for you.Another thing is that they do not have a constant departure time.Unlike travel companies with a fixed departure time like Easy Coach,Mololine leaves when the vehicle gets full.If you have an important engagement that is particularly time conscious ,either pick another means of transport or go very early to avoid the hustle. An average trip from Nairobi to Kisumu with this nissan usually takes about 6-7 hours. You make two stops along the way so you can get to use the washrooms and grab something to eat along the way if you get hungry. The journey is smooth and the drivers are always careful. You book your seats upon arrival on a first come first serve basis so like I said the earlier the better.Overally, their services are good and they make an affordable traveling option if you do not mind spending several hours sitting on the road.

Public transport with a touch of class

By far the best public transport service. Mololine services provide transport to many parts of Kenya, including Nakuru, Nairobi, Eldoret and Kisumu. I mostly use the Nakuru – Nairobi route. The Nakuru booking office is located in Milimani, 2 minutes drive from Nakuru CBD. Once you get there you are received by a member of their staff and instructed to wash your hands and always have your mask on due to the current corona virus pandemic. Once you are through with that you are directed to where you’ll pay for your ticket. Their prices were quite good before the pandemic with Nakuru – Nairobi being around 400 – 500 KES. They increased their prices to 700KES due to social distancing. But still worth it as you travel in comfort and style. There is ample sitting space to wait for your car to arrive and a canteen that sells a wide range of snacks at an affordable price. The staff are very friendly and ready to assist. The drivers are polite. There are no conductors as there are no stops during journey. This saves on a lot of time. Their booking office in Nairobi is quite small with no sitting space so you have to stand outside. They also offer good parcel services where even your fragile parcels get to you in good condition. Their security is quite good, as every passenger is searched before entry. Public transport taken to a whole new level. Would definitely recommend it.

Best choice of long distance road travel in the North-Rift region

If you are looking for a guarantee of luxury and safety when travelling between Nakuru, Nairobi, Eldoret, Mololine is the unparalleled travel company for you. The entire experience traveling with them is one to remember. First of all , their booking office is in Nakuru, which is convenient since matatus were relocated from Nakuru CBD in March 2020. You’re met warmly by a jovial uniformed staff that hand you a handwashing soap while the other opens the tap for you to rinse off your hands, making sure you have no contact with the tap, which lets face it, is always a bummer for a public used water source. I know you’re probably already in love with this but I’ll keep going, you are directed to the teller that deals with your destination of choice. After paying you pass through a metal detector and your bags are checked. You are then directed to a waiting area where you can buy yourself some snacks from their canteen which include delicious samosas and sausages, water, and even earphones which are important for such a long journey. There are sparkling clean restrooms to freshen up before the journey too within the premise. Once the vehicle is full and has gone through checks, you can all board and begin your journey. The drivers are very polite and professional and even if you choose to have the car pick you up along the way. If you are tired of the tussle of matatu stages with every conductor pulling you towards their vehicles, pulling your luggage and chanting 50 destinations in a microsecond half a foot from your eardrums, Mololine is the choice for you. The Mololine booking office is an enclosed premise and gives you the class you’d want from a travel. Think of it as an airport for the road.
