A decent campus for it's age.
Mount Kenya University is fairly new when compared to the veteran universities in Kenya. Despite that, it has grown at such a fast rate to become a choice university for many. They have their main campus in Meru and several town campuses around the country. The campus in Nakuru is barely a decade old. It’s is located in the convenient CBD. The campus is huge. You can spot the building from a distance making it easy to spot if you want to pay a visit. I went there once just to satisfy my curiosity. Security at the gate is tight but is very delightful. They showed me to the reception when I had a chat with the receptionist who was gloomy. A bad day maybe? The classroom is huge and the lecture to student ratio is decent. They offer several courses but their champion course in Commerce. For me, it felt like a concrete jungle but that’s understandable considering its locale. It’s a decent campus and a good choice for anyone looking to join.
