Msambweni in Swahili is a small fishing town and constituency in Kwale County of southeastern Kenya, formerly in Kwale District of Coast Province. The origin of the name, Msambwe is a hardy and wild fruits tree indigenous to the area. Msambweni Beach House & Private Villas is only a 30 minute drive from Ukunda Airstrip and a visit to our serene property can be perfectly combined with your Kenyan Safari or you can simply come stay with us for a week or shorter to relax and rejuvenate by the Indian Ocean.. Each of these luxury beach villas comes with a spacious en-suite bathroom and a terrace or veranda. All villas have air conditioning and overhead fans and come with a double bed and a private bathroom with dehumidifier. Some units also include a separate bathtub and toilet. In addition to a private bathroom, the private beach villas include an outdoor garden shower. For added comfort, each villa has a fully-equipped kitchen and a separate living room. Dining in Style! Dining at Msambweni Beach House is a pure delight. Our kitchen staff is thoroughly trained by a celebrity Belgian chef. Enjoy seafood, Swahili dishes, Belgian and French cuisine. Visit the mangroves and sand banks for an awesome encounter with nature.

We have the luck to be positioned near a mangrove ecosystem. The trip through the mangroves has to be done during the high tide. Bitings are included. Charges are KES 4,000 per person for a maximum of 6 people. We recommend you take your swimming costumes and towels during this trip since swimming is possible.

Our Best Seller excursion involves a boat ride upto the Sandbanks near the infamous Funzi Island. With a private chef, steward and a waiter, this is the perfect VIP experience on the coastal shores of Kenya. On arriving a BBQ lunch comprising of various delicacies will be prepared for your group. Charges are KES 32,000 for 4 PAX(Minimum) .

Wind down your evenings by the beach and treat yourself to some freshly caught grilled fish, prawns or lobster as as you soak in the sunset.

An evening or early morning stroll along the white sandy beach is must a do at Msambweni Beach House. The beach stretches 2.8 KM and takes about an hour for a round trip back to the beach house. Swimming in the ocean is highly recommended during high tide is such a refreshing activity you shouldn’t miss out on.

Wasini Island offers an idyllic mangrove walk. Combine this experience with a visit to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park which offers views of dolphins, snorkeling as well as diving at KES 13,000 per person in a shared boat. The package includes a 45-minute dhow ride and lunch.

An exclusive transfer and private boat costs KES, 35,000 per person is recommended if you wish to have privacy during the whole trip, all paid at Msambweni Beach House.

Enjoy the ocean water and creatures with a boat ride and snorkeling experience. The boat ride costs KES 2, 000 per person and takes about 1-2 hours. The excursion is possible if the weather conditions allow.
