Naivasha Treehouse

A visit to Lake Nakuru or Lake Naivasha would be incomplete without exploring Lake Elementaita, which is only a few kilometers away. Pink Tree House was the perfect gateway for relaxation and reflection. The lodge is located a few kilometres after Kikopey on your way to Nakuru. You have to be careful not to miss the turn as there is no proper signage. Hint, a quick google search again saved the day. The lodge is pretty much a charming treehouse and is a walking distance to the lake and adjacent to a seasonal river. It has two floors with three large rooms, and each has a fireplace, kitchen, lounge area and balconies with a good view of the river and an excellent view of the natural surroundings. My photography team and I went to explore this beautiful place as it is photogenic in nature. We the girls took the big self-contained room on the top floor that has two bedrooms, one adequately fitted with a wooden rustic double-decker bed. This is ideal for a family holiday. All the rooms have refrigerators to keep your food and drink fresh and chilled. The balcony has a treadmill with a good view of the seasonal river below if you are a fitness enthusiast like me. We requested an in-house chef who is available on sight on request, but you can as well cook for yourself if you wish. The rooms do not have TV sets, and that worked perfectly for us. However, we carried with us our Bluetooth speaker and WiFi modem that came in handy as we streamed soothing music from my phone. The families living around have theme nights every Saturday around the bush fire, and it is a fantastic way for guests to interact and get to know each other as well as socialize with the locals. The next morning, we did a few photoshoots at the compound and decided to take a walk to the shores of Lake Elementaita, and the view was breathtaking. From the shores of Lake Elementaita, I could see the famous Sleeping Warrior and Ugali Hills. Perfect for hikers. The treehouse had a home away from the home village feel and the evenings by the fireplace added quite a lovely touch to my stay at the facility. The rates are relatively affordable. We enjoyed the peace and will recommend Tree House to anyone looking for a quick and affordable getaway from the city.
