The National Transport and safety Authority was established through an Act of Parliament; Act Number 33 on 26th October 2012. The objective of forming the Authority was to harmonize the operations of the key road transport departments and help in effectively managing the road transport sub-sector and minimizing loss of lives through road crashes.
What services do you offer ?
- Registration and Licensing of motor vehicles
- Conduct motor vehicle inspection and certification
- Regulate the Public Service Vehicle (PSVs)
- Advise the Government on national policy with regard to road transport system
- Developing and implementing road transport safety strategies
- Facilitating the education of the members of the public on road safety
- Conducting research and audits on road safety
- Compiling inspection reports relating to traffic accidents
- Establishing system and procedures for and oversee the training, testing and licensing of drivers
- Formulating and reviewing the curriculum of driving school

- You can either register as an individual or Alien
- For individuals, Enter ID Serial Number, Provide your Mother’s Maiden Name , Enter PIN Number and submit
- For Aliens, enter Alien ID Serial Number and Date of Issue of Passport
