Njugunas

This is a famous local joint on Waiyaki way, a 10 minutes drive from the city center. It is not a high-end place with a crazy design. It is pretty old and for the most part, not familiar with newbies. But they are pretty famous for their nyama choma. If you happen to pass therebetween Friday and Sunday, you will notice the number of cars parked outside. On such days, it is advisable to reserve or come early to get a spot. Their nyama choma is spectacular and the prices are affordable. When accompanied with kachumbari and beer, it is mindblowing. I have had fewer tastier meals than nyama choma at Njuguna’s. The decor is pretty laid back, nothing too fancy and the service is great. Once you get seated, there’s a waiter ready to give you the menu and a beer while you decide on what to eat. It’s a cool place to chill with the guys.
