Ol Pejeta Bush Camp

This camping experience offers the most rewarding one-with-nature experience I’ve had so far. The campsite is located in Nanyuki some 4 hours from Nairobi CBD. To enjoy the whole trip, you’ll need a private vehicle to take you to and fro. I had a trip planned with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. I had seen the photos and heard some tales but being on the ground is something else. The cost for one night per person sharing is around $530. We went on a Saturday for just one night. We got there at around 2 pm. The gateman directed us to the reception and finally the accommodation. It was during the low season so we were only two couples at the site. The accommodation is next to a river, you can imagine the sleep with the sound of a river in the background. They serve three meals, all buffet at a common room. We had a beautiful bonfire under the night sky. There are plenty of activities but we settled on seeing the endangered species which cost about $75 for adults. I think that the best anniversary yet. I’d recommend this campsite for anyone wanting to go camping.
