Oppo Service Centre, the most trusted Oppo-owned tech repair shop for Oppo phones is located along Koinange Street just a few minutes from the Nairobi CBD. Their service centre is quite conspicuous with the signature green Oppo logo lighting up its entrance so you definitely can’t miss it. After an unavoidable home accident during my Christmas break, my phone got numerous massive cracks on its screen and I was pretty sure it was irreparable considering the level of damage on the screen. Knowing how often many friends of mine have had their spoilt phones poorly repaired or have them come back worse than they initially were before repair after taking them to random tech shops, I opted for Oppo Service Centre and paid them a visit two weeks ago. In case you want to know the price of repair depending on the kind of damage or problem your phone has, their Oppo service landline number on their website always goes through as long as the call is between 9 a.m and 5 p.m. Any call past that will be forwarded so you will have to call again the next day. I called in to inquire about the cost to repair my screen and I must say, the attendant was very friendly and asked the exact type of my Oppo phone since the price varies according to the make. Afterward, she gave me details on how much time it takes to repair and their opening hours. One thing I loved about this place is that the reception there was quite welcoming from the moment I stepped into the place. A guard always on standby to sanitize one on entry ushered me in and an attendant met me at the door asking me how they could be of assistance. He requested me to have a seat and approach any of the four attendants at the front desk when there is a free slot. The place has a customer-friendly environment with a waiting and service area that is quite spacious with couches to sit on as one waits to be served. There is also a water dispenser to quench your thirst as you wait which I found very convenient considering how the walk under the scorching sun in town has one’s body all hot and sweaty. I was served just a few minutes later after arrival and the attendant at the front desk was kind and very courteous. She informed me about the whole process and that the procedure would take around 40 minutes to one hour but luckily it wasn’t a busy day so I got my phone back looking good as new in 30 minutes! I was actually impressed by the level of efficiency. Their work on my phone was impeccable and as proof of repair, they packaged the broken screen and let you dispose of it yourself. They also give you a few minutes to confirm if the phone camera and other settings are functioning before you leave and any problem rectified. The greatest thing about repair here is that they give you a 6-month warranty after the repair so you are assured of quality service and aftercare in case anything related to your phone problem occurs within that time window. However, during the repair period in the centre, one cannot leave the premises so you are advised to just sit and patiently wait till they call out your name for pick up after a specified time. There is another Oppo shop along the same street so one might get confused as to which is which, so ensure you ask the guard at the entrance whether that is the main service centre or not. They not only deal with screen issues but also battery, charging, and other numerous phone problems so Oppo service centre should definitely be your #1 option when in need of phone fixing.
