Substandard patient care.
Pandya Hospital is located along Dedan Kimathi Avenue in Mombasa just 5 minutes away from CBD. There is ample parking space and good security. It has a nice waiting bay for patients, complete with a water dispenser and a television screen. Hand sanitizers are also placed strategically hence they adhere to the COVID-19 precautionary measures. They accept payment through insurance and paying cash is a bit on the higher side. However, the services are slow and have the worst reception ever. There are always queues and very few attendants when the reception can accommodate around 5 attendants but for some reason there’s always one person who takes their time to serve patients. The staff are not trained to understand customer service and giving patients a good experience while there. They forget that people are sick and need to be served quickly and with compassion so that they can go home. I was only here because I needed to see a specialist who has a clinic in their hospital but the services were too slow. The professionalism of the doctors was impressive regardless of everything else. Most of the nurses are friendly and helpful too. I once visited an in-patient and the private, semi-private and deluxe wards are great. I would give it a rating of 6/10.
