Masawe Japani is the queen of kiswahili radio show
Radio Jambo is the 2nd biggest radio station in Kenya and boasts of the number one drive show despite being in the market for only 6 years. It is located at Lion Place Waiyaki Way 3rd floor. Its programming includes news, information, sports, and entertainment, some of its shows are Maskani, Pembe Za Kenya and Injili Jumapili. I was here for a show with Masawe Japani. A woman who uses her voice in the media industry to change women’s lives. Massawe Japanni is a celebrated Kenyan journalist working as a Swahili broadcaster for Radio Jambo. She hosts a Swahili show, Bustani La Massawe Japanni, on radio Jambo on weekdays from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. The program focuses on love affairs, marriage challenges and issues women undergo in relationships. She hosts famous vulnerable people on her show between 1:00pm- 2:00 pm besides entertaining people with latest songs on her show. Massawe is a very charming, courageous, and talented woman who has amassed millions of fans in Kenya and the global stage. She has a unique way of enticing and keeping fans interested in her programs. My show was at 1:00pm on Thursday. This is where we got to talk about life as a burn survivor. Before you get to their floor you will have to pass through a number of security checks and confirmations. At the reception, you will find a charming lady always ready to assist you. You will be requested to seat as they confirm one or two things before the director come to escort you to the station. I was blown away by how the station is designed to meet each and every one’s needs. This is the only place I failed to take pictures of. How did I not take a selfie with masawe? EEish I think I was too excited for the show to remember.
