The Backyard Mint

Located at Karen flame along dagoretti road, the backyard mint is a restaurant and cocktail bar that offers sit in restaurant services, outside catering and home or office delivery. Open from around 8 in the morning all the way till 10pm, the restaurant is one of my top dining choices. The restaurant serves an extensive menu ranging from cocktails, mocktails with my favorite being the tequila sunrise sold at just 600 shillings.they also offer shots for friends meet ups. Oh and they also have a happy hour from3 to 6 pm daily. Their menu comprises of breakfast,sides ,the main meals , soup ,burgers and hot drinks all ranging from 50 to 1800 for their nyama platter. My last dining with them was in the company of my friends in celebration for one of the girl’s birthday dinners. The four of us were ushered in well and directed to our table. We ordered their nyama platter with fries, chips masala , garden salad and coleslaw for a total of 1800 bob. The food arrived in minutes, hot and well served. We also ordered cocktails and taking advantage of the happy hour were able to get a extra cocktail for each cocktail we purchased. I had the tequila sunrise and my friends all picked the cranberry whiskey sour, betrayers those ones. My friend who is a non alcoholic had a passion mojito mocktails. Our entire bill amounted to 4100 shillings for the food, cocktails and one mocktail. Our food was prepared to precision and the serving layout was just amazing. My cocktail was great , the flavours were well blended , all I can is I loved it. I got to taste tmy friends mocktail and it was good considering it didn’t have the alcohol blend I wanted. Our bill was worth it, we had a great time, great service and the ambience at the restaurant was just beautiful. I’d recommend dining here and even hosting parties with them. Also their happy is the highlight of the restaurant for me.
