The Copper Ivy

This lovely restaurant located in Westlands is the perfect place for a date. We went here with my lady and we were impressed. The beautiful decor and great ambiance perfectly matched with tasty food are why we keep going back. The food never disappoints. I’ve tried a few things on the menu and I’m impressed at the consistency in quality. Their mushroom pepper steak which goes for KES1100 is one of my favorite dishes from this restaurant. They also have amazing cocktails and great beer. The service matches the food, the staff is very friendly and helpful, very well trained. Their manager even takes time to interact with the customers. Their prices are pocket-friendly with meals ranging from KES800 to KES1400. This restaurant is perfect for intimate dates and family dinners. They also follow COVID 19 protocol to the latter. Highly recommend.

Located at the promenade drive in Westlands along general Mathenge road, The Copper Ivy is a new restaurant in Nairobi with a modern touch of interior design and great professionalism. I was here about 2 weeks ago for a dinner date. On arrival we were directed to the restaurant which is on ground floor. we were received by a waiter, who directed us to our reserved table. The ambiance is just so beautiful and welcoming you may not want to leave. There is plenty of space for bigger gatherings like birthdays, family meals, dinners/lunch with friends. Our table was professionally set and I loved it! They have both the vegetarian menu and non-vegetarian menu which I liked because I can definitely come back with my vegetarian friends soon. The menu has got a variety of options and you’ll be spoilt for choice. We ordered a Spanish bottle of wine, buttered chicken with naan and pork chops which was all amazing with satisfying portions and quite affordable. George, the waiter who directed us in was really professional and he was always at our service whenever we called for him. We had the caramel cake slices for dessert and they were so worth it. I later had a long island though I think they can do better that because I have had better long islands. Other than that, you need to visit copper ivy yesterday!!

The Copper Ivy is a relatively new restaurant in Nairobi which surpassed all my expectations. It is located in Westlands area and easily accessible by cab. The promenade building, within which it is located has ample underground parking and is quite secure. We got off from our Uber and walked in. The restaurant is on the first floor and we easily spotted the entry. At the entrance, a waiter asked whether he could sit us to which we pointed out that we already had a reservation. He then guided us to our table which was already set with our menus. Some members of our party had already arrived as well. The most striking thing about The Cooper Ivy is the stunning decor with good lighting. We took numerous photos. I would certainly commend them for the quality of service. The waiters were keen, helpful and efficient. The menu at copper ivy has a wide array of options and a separate drinks menu. The prices per meal range from $10 to $20 which is quite affordable for such a fine dining experience. I ordered the mushroom pepper steak which a side of mashed potatoes which went for 1150KES. The portions were generous and I was quite full. I ordered a bottle of their 2014 Merlot to go with the meal which was quite exquisite. The steak was well done to my requests and perfectly moist with rich flavours. I was quite impressed with their food and presentation. For dessert, we had a slice of the caramel cake which was recommended by the staff and I was quite pleased. I am definitely going back to the copper ivy for date night and lovely food!
