MEAT LOVERS PARADISE
Local Grill is undeniably the best steak house I’ve ever been to. All they about and all they offer is absolutely immaculate *Chef’s Kiss*. The ambience, the personnel, the food quality, the cleanliness, the furnishings, the lightning are all laid back and consequently sophisticated. It’s hard not to fall in love with a space equipped with hardwood, black coated industrial metal finishing and healthy potted plants. Local Grill is honorably and truly straight up vibes. The restaurant has three seating areas, an intimate seating, larger group seating, bar seating and a private & closed seating area. So all groups of people with their needs are catered for. FOOD: – Price range (Kshs.300 – Kshs. 5400). I find the pricing great for the food quality, the fast service and the extent into which they give you a complete personal experience. They dwell on customer satisfaction, so their A Game is remarkable to say the least. Their menu caters for variety of meals & extensive food choices. Their wine list is impressive and wide-ranging too. So what I ate;- Starter; – Cubed bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar bread dip. The bread was warm, soft and fluffy. Mains; – T-bone Dry Aged (Grain-fed Beef), 500g (Kshs. 3200), and added bone marrow ( Kshs. 300). This steak was medium well, well-seasoned, tender, juicy and grilled to the point of mouthwatering magnificence. It was served with an equally well seasoned bone marrow (YUMMMMMM!!!!), accompanied with a Sweet Potato Mash (Kshs. 350), so creamy, sweet and the texture was just right. (2.) Pork Ribs basted with BBQ Sauce (Kshs. 1500), was prepared to a sheer perfection, served alongside hand-cut crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside Local fries .The ribs were fall of the bone and marinated to the bone. This was so soooo delicious! Local Salad; – local green salad with cheese shavings. Drinks;- The Elephant in the room which is the Elephant Gin with Fitch and Leedes Pink Indian Tonic and berries was sweet and fruity while the Elephant Gin with Fitch and Leedes Indian Tonic with rosemary, lemon and grapefruit was herby and citrusy. SERVICE; – Excellent, quick and personal. Staff are friendly, courteous and very effective. Local Grill is a spot that I highly highly recommend. The ambience is fit for families, business meetings and most importantly romantic interludes. Personally I find it a perfect spot for a date night especially those first dates where you’d love to surprise and leave an impression. Local Grill are keen to give A+ service and A+ quality food which sets them apart from other establishments and this is the reason why I fell deeply in love with them. If you want your taste buds to be in for a treat, then head on to Local Grill. 🙂
