Unes-University Bookstore

UNES University Bookstore is a major business unit of University of Nairobi Enterprises and Services (UNES) Limited. The UNES University Bookstore was acquired from the University of Nairobi in 1997 to improve on revenue returns and services.

The bookstore is situated on Harry Thuku Road in the main campus of the University of Nairobi, next to the Vice Chancellor’s office.

Currently, the UNES University Bookshop is the largest bookstore in East Africa with branches in strategic cities of Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu and it serves the University of Nairobi and its campuses across the county, all universities in Kenya, Government libraries and departments, middle level colleges and schools.

The UNES University Bookstore provides solutions for reading materials from local publishers, international publishers and renowned distributors.

We are proud to have supplied most universities like Egerton University, Kenyatta University, Jomo Kenyatta University, Maseno University, Mount Kenya University, Somalia Universities and many others.

We are also proud to have supplied key government ministries and departments like the Ministry of Education, Director of Public Prosecutions, Kenya Revenue Authority, Insurance Regulatory Authority and may others.

The bookstore has expanded its product range to include supply of computers and computer accessories, laptops, Ipads, tablets and printers.

This year the bookstore ventured into supply of laboratory chemicals and equipment. We have partnered with world brands like HP distributors to supply quality toners and laptops.

Other partners include local and international publishers abroad and local like Mcgraw Hill, Oxford, Law Publishers, New Age Publishers, among others. The bookstore is currently working on partnership with E-kitabu to launch supply of e-books for our clients.

We are working closely with Synergy Group of South African to distribute electronic whiteboards, LCD projectors and tablets. The bookstore has become a solution provider to learning institutions in the region and we look forward to continue meeting our customers’ requirements.
