Nothing like it

When I think of java I have alot of memories of being a kid and take there for the smiley face pancakes with a milkshake that was hugeee and so tasty. Over the years o cannot count how many chocolate fudge cake slices I have had that's a 1 in a million cake the sponge so so moist and the chocolate fudge oh my its is just everything that the best chocolate cake could be. Please don't go there or order one slice for 2 or more people get your own slice cos you will devour it in 1 sitting get a bottle of water with is cos its super rich. From the food menu, the java breakfast is a nice hearty potion of a full English breakfast very tasty but you must have it there and fresh. I'm not a fan of the chicken pie but the chicken and cheese sandwich is really tasty as well as the croissants. The coffee is also very nice it's just perfect actually always with the right amounts of everything the frapaccino is perfect for nairobi hot afternoons or a nice scoop of ice cream. They have started selling these bags of cookies you must get yourself the biggest bag of the java love cookies you ca thank me later. And have it them with a cup of tea or coffee. They are amazing. The staff is always so nice and welcoming always happy and make you feel so welcomed even if they are busy.

Unique Indian restaurant

Khazana is a nice Indian restaurant with unique interior and a unique way of serving food. You get snacks on little tuktuks and crates it is so creative. The restaurant itself feels like little india with so much to see and alot of antique pieces. The food was amazing everything you would want to try in India they have it the pani puri is wow I wish the potions wer bigger but nevertheless still very tasty. The staff are friendly but service is abit slow but it's worth the wait for the tasty freshly made food. It is quite a drive out not too far from village Market but again worth the drive. Its nice for a romantic dinner, dinner with friends and family or even a party. The managers/owners are very friendly too come and visit the tables to say hello and ask if the food is OK and for feedback which was really nice cos you dont see many restaurant give that kind of attention. The attention to detail the way food is served, the taste of the food and the selection of Indian beverages is really good. It was a nice evening with the family and we really enjoyed to food and drinks. We had a good laugh with the staff and managers. It's a must visit I promise you will not be disappointed and it is pocket friendly what more could you want. Oh and they place some nice music very relaxing and chilled out.

All I can say is WOW

Frsnchmaid bakery has been around for a very long time. Their staff are so friendly and the owners too so friendly and accommodating. They have amazing pastries the strawberry tart never disappoints. The kids favourite are the palmiers they are so tasty light and crispy not too sweet so it's a perfect snack for you or your little ones to enjoy. They have nice donuts too chocolate filled oh my gosh it's like an explosion of chocolate in every bite. Now I'm saving the best for last one thing you must must try from French maid bakery is the Special Chicken croissant or even just the normal chicken croissant. Imagine this a freshly baked croissant they cut it in half and fill it up with all the vegetable you like, avocado, chicken mayo, cheese, sauces if you want it spicy they will make it spicy or you prefer mild like me they make it mild and then they wrap it up and you can enjoy it with a meal deal which comes with a Coke n pastry or on its own...but that croissant sandwich is honestly the best sandwich I have ever had. It is light and filling at the same time if I could I would have it every day its just that good. And they deliver all over nairobi. But you have to call them early because they run out super fast again cos they are just that good. Trust me call them and order the chicken croissant with a box of palmiers. Yummm

Relaxing venue with good food

Art Caffè has a really nice atmosphere very relaxing and a good place to go chill and enjoy a coffee or a few drinks with friends. They have a huge menu with a variety of foods, desserts, coffees, juices and so on. The best thing you can eat at art Caffè is the pasta it's always fresh and so so good the potion size is quite big so make sure you go with an appetite to eat. Their cakes are too good it's like they melt in your mouth with such interesting flavours the cake to try would be the tricolad wow it's so tasty and also make sure to order the chocolate truffles little balls of happiness. If you are not going to eat and its just for a coffee they have so many coffees and teas but the snack wow their croissants I would say are the best in nairobi especially the almond one it has almond in every bite. They also make cookies in little boxes for you to take home and fresh breads which are also really nice. It's a nice place to spend an afternoon catching up with friends or just having some me time with your favourite book. The staff are very nice and always welcoming. Service is always very quick and you will very rarely get disappointed. They sometimes have amazing offers too on their cakes so make sure you always ask about the offers for the day. All in all a nice chilled out place.

Best way to spend a sunday

Nairobi national park is the best way to spend your sunday in nairobi. We got there early in the morning (highly recommended you go in a 4x4 so that you can enjoy going into the bushes and the rough track where qlot of the animals hide. The kids loved seeing all the animals there. The park itself has been maintained very nicely and its good to see the visitors respecting the no liter rule because you will hardly see any liter. Being in the heart of nairobi it is surprisingly so peaceful no noise, no pollution you cannot hear a single matatu. The price entry fee for resident is also very reasonable for a fun filled day. You can carry your own food and drinks to enjoy at the many picnic sites and they even have washrooms that are quite clean. There are rangers all over the park so if you ever get lost or need assistance they are always close by to help you. The best time to visit the park would be very early in the morning or towards to closing time in the evening as this is when you will see alot of animals especially the lions, rhinos, leopard and may more. Word of caution. Watch out for the baboons/monkeys in the parking lot they are quite notorious they look for every opportunity to bully the park goers and are very quick to steal you food or even phone one of them went off with a diaper from my car. But it's a lovely outing for all the nature and animal lovers.

Always amazing

Carnivore is a restaurant that has been around for the longest I can remember. I had my 1st birthday there and I'm 33 now. Their food is always top, the variety of meats on their platters and the kuku kikapu are always our favourite. The original dawa drink refreshing with q bit of a kick. For the kids the playground has become smaller over the years but they still love it with all types of different activities and the monkeys. Their desserts are good too a nice end to an amazing meal. The staff are good you have a waiter assigned to your table but they do get busy and the service level drops but they get really busy so it is understandable. The prices are abit high but they are carnivore so its expected. On the other side you have the restaurant where its eat all you want and they have alot to offer. Their meats are always fresh the best thing is the chicken wings yummmmm. If you have a birthday coming up definitely recommended all the staff get together and sing for you. If you have an anniversary or date night carnivore have got a romantic set up and it would be perfect. All in all a good restaurant nice venue for a party, very kids friendly. The prices are abit steep but it's worth a visit. Things to try: baked alaska, sticky wings, kuku kikapu, mixed platter, the dawa, pinacolada or just go in for the all you can eat.

The food melts in your mouth

The Desserts at Cultiva are out of this world. They are always fresh and so full of flavour. Despite being a very bust restaurant the staff are all so nice and accommodating. If you have a sweet tooth then you must visit cultiva. It is worth the drive.
