Blue Room Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor

I had gone for a lunch date with a friend. I loved the high beaming ceiling and eclectic decor, it worked wonders for the ambience. The inside area looked pleasant and inviting whereas the outside was so busy. The service was a bit slow. I suspect it was due to it being peak hours. I settled for chips and steak which went for 800 KES while my friend opted for chicken biriani that costed 700 KES. The restaurant also has an ice-cream parlor and we ordered an accompaniment of ice cream shakes. I’ve always loved the oreo cookies shake so I definitely vouched for that which costed 450 KES each. There was a burger offer on that day, buy l burger get 1 burger free and a side of chips for 800 KES, we decided to try them out too. We had to wait for quite a period of time before the food was brought to our table since the area was packed at that hour. I enjoyed the steak as it was so juicy and tender. It was loaded with flavor and had a minimum amount of fat. The chicken biryani looked so appetizing and it had an amazing aroma. The burgers were small in size but they had a very distinct salty taste with a bit of crunch, it was fairly good. The best part was the ice cream shakes. As soon as I took the first sip, I was thinking of how I would go back there for more . They were amazing!!? The place is perfect for families, children or a casual date. I would definitely go back to the place although I would avoid the peak hours which is usually around midday as the place is usually packed and services are a bit chaotic. Overall I had a pleasant dining experience with food and a very friendly staff.
