Burger Hut

I am the biggest fan of burgers. That is without a doubt. I have eaten burgers far and wide but if you ask me which is my favorite, which is the juiciest burger I’ve ever had and which one I could swear on I’m going for burger hut. It is located on Mpaka road in Monohar center. The place has no huge sign and is very easy to miss. A cab from the CBD costs KES250. I still remember the first time I went there. I was with my cousin. We pass all this great burger places along Mpaka road and he takes me to this almost dingy place and I’m like, what is I this place. Although it is a good place to have a date or a private meeting. You know the saying, don’t judge a book by the cover? I ordered the double chicken burger with fries and a coke which costs KES1200. One bite and I was sold. It was beyond great it was.

This joint is located in Manohar Centre along Mpaka road, Westlands. An uber from town costs around 250KES and a matatu taken from odeon will charge you 50KES at most. You can easily miss this place as it’s very hidden. It has existed for ages, Once you walk in, you’ll notice the place is not well put. The ambience and decor is wanting but the food makes up for that and more. Their burgers are to die for!!! This place has the best burgers in town. Their service is remarkable with their staff always smiley and ready to serve. I always have the double chicken cheese burger with fries. The patty is well cooked and juicy. This burger goes for 700KES and the Chips masala is 200KES. The burger is so juicy and so cheesy. You can get fries with your burger at an extra cost. Their prices are super affordable with meals being 1000KES for one person including drinks. Burger hut has very good service and is rarely full hence no reservation required. Located in Manohar Centre, Mpaka Rd, Nairobi. This is in Westlands which is around 200KES if you use an uber or 50KES for a matatu from odeon CBD. This little hidden joint has been around for many years. They have had the best burgers hands down for the longest time possible. The decor is not all that impressive. It’s quite simple but I promise the burgers will make you overlook that. However, I usually prefer to get take out. The staff are quite nice, very polite and respond quickly to getting what you need. This place is hardly packed so no need for reservation. The prices on the menu are very affordable with a full meal per person coming to a total of 1000KES without drinks. I always get the double chicken double cheese burger which goes for 700KES. This is super affordable considering the quality of food that you get. Here, however you need to order the side separately since it does not come with the burger. The patty is so juicy. I think the secret is the sauce because you will keep coming for more. The chips masala I had was too spicy. Could hardly eat it but the waiter informed me that I should have specified on the degree of hotness. Maybe next time I’ll ask for mild chips masala. You cant say you’ve had burgers if you haven’t been to burgerhut. I know I’m addicted.
