Marini Naturals is Africa’s first quality full haircare range for all natural hair. It is a Kenyan-owned haircare line founded by two friends; Michelle Ntalami and Niyati Patel.

And so, in 2013, with the help of top laboratories, formulators, cosmetic experts, hairdressers and designers, they came together, researched, formulated, tested and created a product of our own. They called it “Marini Naturals.” Marini is a Swahili word which means “Naturally Beautiful” just like us natural beauties! Here is a good analogy; in Swahili, you would call a “hot girl” mrembo. But hot girls are many; and few are beautiful, in and out. When a girl is beautiful, she’s “Marini!” 🙂

Today, through Marini’s full range of products, we are proud to say Kenya and Africa finally have a natural hair-care line of their own which is sure to understand their coils, kinks, and curls like no other! Michelle & Niyati successfully managed to make all the products rich in moisture, ensuring your hair is soft and manageable all day! And let’s not even get started on the scents of the products..

What I love about Marini naturals is how quality their products are and they are also organic. They are also available at various outlets i.e Garden City, Super Cosmetics in Westlands, Valley Arcade, Sarit Centre, Naivas (Nyali), Rupa Mall Eldoret, Mega City in Kisumu. Their products are also available in Rwanda and Tanzania. I love their jojoba, castor and avocado oil which are so good for locs. Their butters are to die for especially the mango butter which is great for treating blemishes and skin imperfections as well as sealing moisture. Thier shea butter is great for dry skin and scalp conditions. Marini naturals also have amazing sulfate free shampoo that does not strip the hair of oils. Their products are also affordable with most below kes 2500 which is worth spending given the quality of their products.

They have the best quality and organic products I’ve ever seen. What drew me to try the line was when I saw my friends hair flourishing thanks to their products. And I love that it is a made in Kenya product so I definitely had to buy #buy Kenya build Kenya. The products I have tried and definitely recommend are: 1. super detangler- perfect for kids because their hair can really knot up. It does the job so perfectly as it is enriched with flaxseed gel and castor oil leaving their hair soft and moisturized all day. Styling is such a breeze and did I not mention it smells like bubblegum…you might be tempted to eat 😃. It goes for 1500/= 2. Co-wash -it is a moisture-rich creamy conditioner, enriched with aloe vera juice+sunflower oil and leaves hair clean, detangled and super soft. I love to use it whenever I’ve undone my hair (esp after braiding)so that I don’t get a lot of shedding..and I can attest this stuff works!!! It goes for 1500/= 3. Jojoba oil-a natural oil that acts in the same way as sebum. It keeps my hair healthy and strong. I recommend you add it into your routine if you are trying to grow inches faster 😉 It goes for 1500/= 4. Coconut oil with caramel extract- smells divine and works wonders on hair. It has an excellent natural sheen and combats dry hair. This is the only oil I use on my baby girl’s hair. Wherever we go,she always gets compliments on her hair bcz it is so shiny, soft, healthy and long yet she’s only 15months. It goes for 1000/= 5. Shea butter with pure vanilla extract- perfect for treating all types of dry skin and scalp conditions. When I was pregnant I used it religiously and I can attest it evens out the skin tone and only got 2 stretchmarks since it reduces blemishes and scars. I use it on my son’s eczema-prone skin as it is an excellent emollient which seals in moisture to combat flaky, itchy and dry skin. It goes for 1000/= All these products can be found in Jumia, Super cosmetics,Goodlife pharmacy,Healthy U and MyDawa. Download the Mydawa App so you can get an even further discount on these products
