Meditteraneo is an Italian restaurant with around 3 branches in Nairobi. There’s one in Junction Mall, another one in Westlands 9west building and the last branch is located in Gigiri. It prides itself in allowing you to take a walk through several Italian delicacies, served with the utmost dedication. They also offer a variety of Italian wines and the cooking employs some of the native Italian cooking styles. The styling on the interior space is also tailored to give the perfect Italian dining experience. I went to the branch in Westlands 9 West and it has recently been renovated I’m yet to see how it looks now.I ordered one of their many Italian Pizzas called Quattro stagioni that was priced at 1,450kshs. It had tomato sauce, home made mozzarella cheese, cooked ham, fresh white mushrooms, artichokes and olives. My mouth was literally full of flavour and more flavour. It was exceptionally done. The only thing I didn’t like was the olives in it . We also ordered the Double calzone “Vesuvio” pizza .It was priced at 1,450kshs. It’s essentially a stuffed double pizza with tomato sauce, homemade mozzarella cheese, taleggio, artichokes and cooked ham. Italian cuisine became a favourite of mine because of Meditteraneo.I really want to try their pasta because I have a feeling I’d be so impressed I’d have to officially move my things and live there. I also had their cocktails and they were around 900kshs.If you love Italian, definitely a 5/5.
