Moonshine Beach Bar is right by the beach, the waves hit the walls at high tide. It’s an open bar, not in the sense of ‘open tab’ but with no windows or doors. The breeze from the ocean blows right through the bar tables, you’ll see a few guys going after their receipts as they are blown every now and then. The Bar’s view is strategic such that you can see the ships float into & out of Mombasa, fishermen sailing away or back and the watersports guys(mostly kite-surfers and jet skis) doing their thing over the waves. Reef Hotel actually has a Kite-surfing team next to the bar incase you are a licensed surfer or if you’d love to be trained(at a fee of course).With the biggest selection of cocktails premium drinks & wine in the heart of Nyali directiy on the beach, Moonshine is definitely the place to hang out on the north coast.

Went here for a great time with my friends and I must admit it was one of the best experiences the vibes,the music selection choice is great and their services and prices are very friendly would definitely recommend this to other people👍

The best club I’ve been to in Mombasa. I was in Nyali on vacation and a friend of mine suggested that we try out moonshine. When we got there I was a bit confused. You get there and you enter a hotel, the Reef hotel. The place is beautiful and the parking is huge. To get to the club, you pass through the hotel entrance, walk to the end of the corridor, take the stairs down to the club entrance. I must admit, I like how it is hidden. If you get lost, the security guys will show you the way. They are quite friendly. The club is right next to the beach. If you come early enough, you can catch the sunset. The vibe is amazing. The music, the service, the ambiance, and the price of drinks and food make for a spectacular experience. 10/10 would recommend.
