Breathtaking Open Air Sauna
After a long game drive and cycling at Hell’s gate, we finalized with a soothing and therapeutic swim. Geothermal Spa is nestled right on the floor of the Great Rift Valley inside the quirky Hell`s Gate National Park in Naivasha, Kenya. Around 113 Kilometers from Nairobi CBD. A 2.5 Hours drive A haven for revelers who come for healing.. To get to the Spa you will have to pay the entry fee of the Park and the entry fee for the spa, something that I find quite bizarre. Geothermal Spa is a natural extension of the geothermal power plant and uses the hot jets to run a huge pool. The hot water with natural salts massages soothes and resets weary, sick, or aged muscles.
The spa hosts a wide variety of wild animals the largest being the Buffalo that sometimes come right up to the Spa, huge herds of Zebras, Giraffes, a wide variety of antelopes, troops, and troops of Baboons and Vervet Monkeys, and a lot of bird life. Managed by KenGen, the place has several pools for different ages with lifeguards. So long as you can keep up with the acrid smell of Sulphur fumes that will stubbornly and audaciously welcome you but as the therapy go on. You will forget if there was any tart Sulphur whiff. Affordable and well-prepared meals, good reception and professionalism, The staff are very friendly, especially those in the restaurant. The place is very spacious and caters to families too, the pools are clean and well situated, and the cold winds will provoke you o get into the pool and feel warm. Because of the water contents, I recommend you remove all metal jewelry before you swim. The spa experience is well worth the drive!
