Planet yogurt has well maintained it’s taste and charm over the years. The Junction Mall branch is still a favorite for many me being one of them ever since they began their journey. The first time when The Junction opened my sisters and I went to frozen yogurt, we went overboard on the servings and the bill was really high. thanks to that though, we now know our fave flavors and my go-to flavor is watermelon. They have a wide variety of locations, with most of them being similar to one another in terms of what food you get and their atmosphere. The place has a nice clean design, that is very simple and effective. When you enter, all you have to do is grab a cup, and fill up whatever yogurt flavors you want in it by yourself. All of the flavors taste really good, so if you have a chance, go multiple times to try them all. In addition to the yogurt, they have some really good toppings, again you might want to consider trying all of them. In the end, you get charged based on the weight of the cup, however, it can be a bit pricey but it’s definitely worth it. The cup is pretty solid, and the spoon that it comes with is actually really nice, and you could actually reuse it if you wanted. The seating is quite nice, and comfortable and you don’t really feel rushed and you can easily enjoy your food. If you are craving for flavors such as pistachio, tiramisu or hazelnut that are not sold elsewhere you definitely wanna go to Planet Yogurt. Always beware when you are adding toppings…price is on weight. Good selection of flavors and loved that the middle pump mixed the two flavors together. Lol! I enjoyed the gasps when people weigh the heaps their children put. You soon learn how much you should put in so you don’t have to swipe a credit card. The random offers you have are cool.. keep people on their toes., and the random flavors that you change from time to time makes it different each time. Definitely recommended for anyone wanting a quick snack!
This is my go to on days I want something “healthy” and tastes amazing. They have 6 branches: Sarit,Garden city,Junction, Gigiri,Nyali and Galleria. FYI their kimathi branch is no longer operational, I guess they don’t get as many customers. I frequent the Sarit more and their operating hours are between 10am-10pm. Their theme is generally pink and green, the space has very great lighting with plastic chairs and round wooden top tables..spaced out and it’s generally very clean. When you enter, know it is generally self-service so you have to sanitize your hands then go serve yourself. The cups are already placed for you to pick as you make your way to the pumps that have different flavors. They rotate the flavors monthly so you may never know what to expect and sometimes they come up with new flavors…they are always keeping us on our toes esp someone like me who likes to be adventurous. My go to flavors are Vanilla, Cheesecake, Watermelonade and Cookie coconut. Now I have to warn you that it’s Ksh.17 per 10g so you have to be careful with what you put in your cup….especially the toppings (which are very tempting btw). It might look like a small price to pay but when you go weigh…you will definitely be shocked. Just be careful🙂🙂 Their flavors hit the taste buds in the right ways, silky soft and smooth 😋 This place is perfect for everyone esp your young ones..though I would caution you leave them behind if you dont want to leave broke😄Bring a friend or two and enjoy the guilt-free sweet life
One of my favorite ice cream joints within the CBD. The branch I frequent is the one on Kigali road a walking distance from Jamia Mall. They have playful decor. Lots of colors on the walls and then some on the furniture. They also have a lot of bright lighting. It makes the place look shiny. This is my go-to place when it gets really hot in town. I pop in and get a cup of mostly vanilla ice cream of frozen yogurt which goes for about kes 250 per cup. They have lots of flavors but when it comes to ice cream, I’m a reserved guy. You can never go wrong with vanilla. Their staff is always pleasant. Maybe working with something sweet makes you sweet by association? Anyway, if you haven’t yet, make sure your try planet yogurt.
