Since the lodge is not fenced, animals such as gazelles and elephants are commonly sighted on the grounds and at the watering hole near the swimming pool. Taita Hill lodge structure is themed as a German fortress in line with the surrounding area’s world war 1 history. The hotel offers a truly exclusive bush experience, being situated in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private conservancy located at the foot of the Taita Hills and adjacent to Tsavo West National Park, one of the world’s largest game reserves. We were here for a weekend and we enjoyed our stay. Breathtaking views from the balcony, and a clean swimming pool. beautiful compound. The food was absolutely excellent; fresh and tasty. The buffet was sumptuous and I really enjoyed.. to top it up I went for the game drive. It was an amazing experience, we were able to see so many animals. The ambiance of the restaurant was quite pleasant – the intricate interior decor especially the ceiling made of bamboo is magnificent and quite a site to behold, It was such an experience and I would gladly recommend people to take the trip. My peak of the day was the amazing customer service that was offered by Constance and Sylvia at the reception. we felt so welcomed and tendered to.
