Steel Barrel

This is the place to be for Sunday brunch if you’re along Thika Road. It’s in Thika Road Mall and the entrance is behind the mall. If you’re coming from the CBD, TRM is some 20 minutes away and a cab costs about kes 700. The times I’ve been there for the Sunday brunch have been an absolute blast. The decor is amazing. They have a modern setup with a bar in the center. The bar is surrounded by those high chairs. Then they have several seats and some booths on one end of the lounge. On the other end, there’s a terrace with a lot of plants. It looks great. During brunch, they have a live band plus cocktails are bottomless from noon till 4 pm. They also have offers for burgers and pizza on Mondays and Tuesdays. This is a place to check out.
