WINEDERFUL TIME !
The Wineshop is a hidden wine bar and café located in the heart of Loresho. The wine bar is set up in an old Tudor Style home that is nothing short of relaxing ambience, quick and attentive service, tasty biting, freshly prepared food and affordable bottles of wine for every occasion, every food pairing and any wine lover out here. The café main décor is old and refurbished bottles of wine, grape vines artwork and a collection of wine corks, truly a wine shop. FOOD: – Their food menu is extensive, from cold cuts and cheese platters, dip and mezze plates, wine bites, to-share bites, pizza, pasta, burgers, soup and salads and sweet dessert items. All which range from (Kshs.150 – Kshs.6500). Fire Grill Aubergine Dip (Kshs.450) Flame roasted aubergine and garlic served with a local Kenyan Natural Yoghurt. Topped with roasted cumin seeds and mint. The dip is a smooth, creamy and smoky flavored deliciousness that was complimented with the roasted sesame and cumin seeds. Hot Spinach Dip (Kshs.450) A blend of local Grown Kenyan Spinach with 3 types of cheese (parmesan, mozzarella and cream cheese) and white wine. This was a full fat cheesy goodness that I’ll forever have when I go to The Wineshop. WINE: – Their wines range from (Kshs. 710- Kshs.9500) We had a well-chilled Perdeberg Soft Rose (Kshs. 1395/=), which our waiter recommended as a perfect pairing for our appetizers. It’s a bright pink colored drink with hints of fresh berries, cherries and is sweet with a smooth finish. The staff are keen to serve you and very knowledgeable in their wide wine selection and will walk you through the experience of the origin of the wine and help in choosing wines perfect for the occasion. Loved it here.
