FINE DINE /HAVEN FOR VEGETERIANS AND VEGANS
Everything about Boho Eatery is a literal work of art. Walking into Boho Eatery is walking into a space that has been curated to be a vessel for the ultimate expression of nature’s beauty!
DÉCOR:
The sidewalk is lined with beautiful colorful flowers, the rustic building is pleasing to the eye, the unique lighting bulbs in glass, the marble tables that were once tailored tables, the indoor seating filled with potted plants, the outside seating with swing seats, woven table mats, the Boho pillows, the charming decor, the beautifully plated meals, the green private garden, the boho styled washrooms, the relaxed ambiance, and the vibes are all at an A+ good. Everything, I mean, everything is considerately and beautifully executed at Boho Eatery.
FOOD:
We had the White Cap Brunch hosted by EatOut and White Cap with a special one-time menu on a different day complete with tea and beertails (yes beertails), and lunch (appetizer, main, dessert) and wine on a different day, but for purposes of this review I’ll put the two experiences together. We got genmaicha green tea and jasmine green tea, both go for Kshs.200. The tea aftermath felt so refreshing and really uplifted my mood. We then chilled at the relaxing private garden as we waited for our brunch to be ready. The garden was full of families with their friendly fur buddies. I love dogs so much, so knowing that Boho Eatery is dog-friendly is really and truly a plus for me. For brunch, we had Fueling for nelion plate (poached eggs in a buttery croissant and smoked salmon) & Big Breakfast at Batian (pulled beef served with an Indian sauce and apple chutney). These were all exceptionally too good.
For drinks we had the Whitecap brewed mango Mary beertail and whitecap strawberry puree beertail. To be honest, I had a different anticipated taste in my head and mouth so the real thing tasted awful , the fresh fruits were really fighting with the beer, like the taste wasn’t pleasant at all, we struggled to drink the beertails and couldn’t drink past the second sip .The garnish on the other hand were fresh fruits and too pretty so yeah , they had to be eaten ;).
For my second Boho visit, we had bruschetta as an appetizer which was so light, crisp, and fresh and the zip by the balsamic vinegar made it to die for. Fresh sweet tomatoes, basil, balsamic glaze, and a lovely baked brown bread that was undoubtedly, the best bruschetta I’ve ever had in my life. For the main dishes, we had the Malaysian Laksa Bowl, Pulled beef bliss brisket burger, and Chicken Tacos. I believe all this go for Kshs. 1500 thereabout, each.
The Laksa bowl was a bright and flavorful meal served with smooth and spicy coconut broth and fresh crunchy veggies i.e. radish slices, shredded carrots, bean sprouts, chicken bits. The pulled beef burger was served with the best chili sauce ever and was juicy. The chicken tacos were filling but I found the flour coating too thick that the chicken taste disappears.
For dessert, we had the coconut chia pudding, choco brownie with one scoop of vanilla ice cream, and fitters. The coconut chia pudding really stood out for me, it was so so good I fail to find the best word to describe how good it was.
WINE:
We had Berry Bush Rose wine by Bellingham from South Africa. It is a twinkling pink dry wine that is soft and fruity with succulent strawberry and raspberry flavors. It contains 12% alcohol content and it definitely ticks off as a social sipping wine . Boho is a great place, with quality food and prices which I find fair for the quality that is Boho Eatery. Can’t wait to try other items on their menu, for now, if you haven’t, make a trip down to Karen Hardy, you won’t be disappointed.
