Located along Langata Road you will find Carnivore, it opens up into a vegetarian’s fiery nightmare, or a meat eater Shangri-la, depending on your culinary leanings. serving both conventional types of meat and local game, Carnivore is known around the world for its delicious BBQ and the zebra-attired chefs and servers who gallop about ensuring everybody is fed. If you are coming to Kenya, this is one of the restaurants that’s a must-visit after going on a safari or before. We visited the restaurant for dinner one evening. We arrived there and went straight to find a table for us. The place is cozy with a homey feel and atmosphere, tables are set aside for those who would want the outdoors. A two-tiered try stand came up on our table with vegetable salad on the first tier and different sauces on the second tier. A lady came to us and explained which sauce suits best for everyone meant. Wildberry is for the turkey and ostrich, garlic for chicken, fruit salsa for pork, mint for lamb, tomato relish for beef, and chili for all. I actually ended up trying different sauces for different meat. They also served their signature Dawa drink to boost your appetite. We were served different types of charcoal grilled meat straight from the skewers onto our plates. They served real fast! a new service would come even before we finished the previous one. One can always have a portion they want and it’s unlimited as long as the yellow flag is on top of your try. It was really interesting to try out different means, even though I’m not much of a meat fun, I did enjoy.

Carnivore is an open-air restaurant in the Langata suburb of Nairobi; the restaurant serves a wide variety of meat. Carnivore is my absolute favorite meaty restaurant. I have been to this restaurant three times. The food is always fantastic, and no matter what I request, I am always overjoyed. The last time I visited the restaurant, I tried the huge buffet, which is fantastic. I love how the staff come to your table and ask which piece of meat you want, making it unique. Waiters are also great and always efficient, cheerful, and respectful. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. I can’t wait to return to the restaurant and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat.

Carnivore is a restaurant that has been around for the longest I can remember. I had my 1st birthday there and I’m 33 now. Their food is always top, the variety of meats on their platters and the kuku kikapu are always our favourite. The original dawa drink refreshing with q bit of a kick. For the kids the playground has become smaller over the years but they still love it with all types of different activities and the monkeys. Their desserts are good too a nice end to an amazing meal. The staff are good you have a waiter assigned to your table but they do get busy and the service level drops but they get really busy so it is understandable. The prices are abit high but they are carnivore so its expected. On the other side you have the restaurant where its eat all you want and they have alot to offer. Their meats are always fresh the best thing is the chicken wings yummmmm. If you have a birthday coming up definitely recommended all the staff get together and sing for you. If you have an anniversary or date night carnivore have got a romantic set up and it would be perfect. All in all a good restaurant nice venue for a party, very kids friendly. The prices are abit steep but it’s worth a visit. Things to try: baked alaska, sticky wings, kuku kikapu, mixed platter, the dawa, pinacolada or just go in for the all you can eat.

Carnivore is a big name. Everyone goes there, from family outings to meat lovers, to concert goers to companies holding events for their staff. Carnivore is the go to place. It is located in Lang’ata opposite Simba Saloon. A cab from Nairobi town costs KES270. I used to frequent carnivore because of Churchill Show. They used to shoot on Wednesdays and that place would be packed before 8pm. The grounds can host 10,000 people at a good. I used to go a bit earlier to have nyama choma .One of the best I have ever had. For a place that is almost always full, their service is pretty good. The food is always ready. When the show starts, I relax with a couple of beers. They also have this meat buffet. You pay KES3600 per person and as long as you lift your flag, you get more meat. That a meat lovers heaven right? If you haven’t been to carnivore, have you really lived in Nairobi? 10/10 recommend.

Meat Lovers Paradise

Whenever I go to Carnivore I know for sure I’m going to get value for my money. They are really very generous with their servings. It’s an open air restuarant located in Langata : a meat lovers paradise. It specializes in meat and all things meat.Their best deal for me which is their commonest is the all you can eat meat buffet :Nyama Choma in particular that’s grilled over charcoal .As long as your flag is lifted the meat party will go on for you until you have your fill. The waiters just go around the restuarant with the meat on skewers and serve whoever lifts their flag up.This offer was 3600 /= per person and the menu is usually fully set. There was a vegetarian option for 2950/= per person . I was also impressed with their wide variety .We also ordered cocktails to down the meat. They were about 700- 800 kshs. Dessert also came after and by the time I was done I was so full I couldn’t even eat the following day .The Nyama Choma is actually juicy and not chewy at all :quite well done. One other thing I love about Carnivore is their customer service. When I went there it was very full because it’s usually common among expatriates but even with the full capacity, the waiters were very friendly and food was served very fast. There are also some shops around where you can buy locally crafted accessories .For meat lovers I’d rate it at 4/5 .But for those who don’t like meat I would advise dining elsewhere.
