A tropical garden hidden
Located along Langata Road you will find Carnivore, it opens up into a vegetarian’s fiery nightmare, or a meat eater Shangri-la, depending on your culinary leanings. serving both conventional types of meat and local game, Carnivore is known around the world for its delicious BBQ and the zebra-attired chefs and servers who gallop about ensuring everybody is fed. If you are coming to Kenya, this is one of the restaurants that’s a must-visit after going on a safari or before. We visited the restaurant for dinner one evening. We arrived there and went straight to find a table for us. The place is cozy with a homey feel and atmosphere, tables are set aside for those who would want the outdoors. A two-tiered try stand came up on our table with vegetable salad on the first tier and different sauces on the second tier. A lady came to us and explained which sauce suits best for everyone meant. Wildberry is for the turkey and ostrich, garlic for chicken, fruit salsa for pork, mint for lamb, tomato relish for beef, and chili for all. I actually ended up trying different sauces for different meat. They also served their signature Dawa drink to boost your appetite. We were served different types of charcoal grilled meat straight from the skewers onto our plates. They served real fast! a new service would come even before we finished the previous one. One can always have a portion they want and it’s unlimited as long as the yellow flag is on top of your try. It was really interesting to try out different means, even though I’m not much of a meat fun, I did enjoy.
