FIREBOY LIVE IN NAIROBI.

When the lineup is so good, you have no excuse to show up and show out . FOMO Events delivered quite an impressive concert , a concert that all I had to do was worry about having a good time because this concert was well organized, coordinated and everything was top tier. I highly commend them for the tight security they offered us through Third Eye Solutions security team. The team ensured the very best security and got us covered on all fronts. The entrance had three check points and we had to show our valid tickets and identification cards which really helped to keep off muggers who always scout the event grounds to take advantage of concert goers. The security were busy at work throughout the whole concert too, their presence was felt and I honestly haven’t felt as safe in a concert as I felt in this one and I’m grateful for that. The DJ lineup was pretty awesome and the Djs really brought out the heat. I mean , Dj Graunchi, K the Dj, Dj Shinski , Kym Nickdee in one night ?? That’s an insane amount of dancing and joy. The hype session by the event MC’s , Guddah and Chiki was lit. They really do know the hype and how to bring it on and mobilize the crowd. A great choice right there , they kept us busy with mad dance routines, and a live dance by Black Warriors dancers who are madly talented. The artists were in their A game too. I love Nviiri and his set was everything and ofcourse Fireboy the man of the show. His entrance was dramatic and I was confused for a minute before it dawned on me , the extraness was a plus for sure . I love Fireboy , his personality , his art , and the vibes he radiates. I loved that he performed all my favourite songs of his as I sang , albeit with my non-singing voice, overly and deeply in my feelings . The cleanliness of the event was top tier too. The washrooms were kept as clean as possible throughout the night and any liter was picked as soon it landed on the ground. The sponsors and vendor stands didn’t disappoint either , centrally located for easy access and there was not much of hustle purchasing from the vendors. FOMO Events really brought out immaculate vibes , can’t wait for their next event.

ANOTHER BANGER??

When I heard Fireboy was coming to Kenya I couldn’t help making a few quick calls because I knew this was going to be an event for the books. M-tickets, an online ticketing platform that we used had a flash sale that I was lucky enough to partake in. We bought the tickets at 2000 /= during the flash sale, down 500/= from the usual price. The event was set to be held at Ngong Racecourse. This being the first event ever by FOMO that I attended, I was a little excited to see how they would hold down the fort in such a risky venue. I carpooled with a few friends to the venue and by 9pm we were on site .Traffic wasn’t as crazy and we didn’t have to wait hours in line. Once we arrived, the first thing that caught my eye was how tight the security was at the entrance. Several armed guards were walking around and keeping everyone in check. The entry was smooth with us just getting our tickets scanned at the gate. Once in, all that awaited was a night of banger after banger. The music system was loud and in place with the stage well set up. Many acts performed throughout the night before the main act. Bensoul, Nviiri and other Kenyan DJs graced the stage as we all warmed our hearts for Fireboy. Granted ,the wait was not in vain .Fireboy was straight up fireee!!!! “You sweet pass mango ,You sweet pass agbalumo ….” And other of his top lyrics kept echoing the whole night .I was not drinking that evening but from the drinks a few of my friends bought a beer was as cheap as 250 shillings. Verdict:a successful event .Ample parking, security, vendors ,entertainers and service providers at all points.

GREAT MUSIC UNDER THE STARRY SKY

My friends and I are huge fans of Fireboy and we were looking forward to the concert at Ngong Racecourse. For the week towards the concert, we were solely bumping Fireboy on our respective playlists. Previously, we had obtained our tickets on mtickets.com during a flash sale we happened upon on their Instagram page for KSH 2000 which was down from KSH 2500 (standard ticket price). We left our home in an Uber pool on Thika Road for Ngong Racecourse on Saturday. Ngong Racecourse is located on Ngong Road and is a spacious outdoor venue under the starry sky. We were pleasantly surprised to find the event so smoothly organized with parking being coordinated so well outside the gate. After showing our tickets at the gate, we received our bands and we were in! In Nairobi, it is necessary to exercise caution at concerts since petty thieves sometimes make their way into the venue. This was not the case at this concert organized by fomoevents. My friend misplaced her purse while having a good time at the concert and was surprisingly able to retrieve it with all the items intact. This was a good ending to a very good night. The performers at the event included Nviiri the Storyteller and we danced all night to music from Dj Grauchi and DJ Shinki. My personal favourite was Karun who looked like a star and perfomed her hit single “Glow Up”. By the time Fireboy came on stage, we were having a splendid time and his perfomance was icing on the cake albeit we had waited for him to the early hours of the a.m. The sound was great and nothing beats listening to Fireboy perform “Like I Do” under the starry sky. Overall, it was one of the best concerts I have attended in Nairobi. The bathrooms at the venue accomodated the population and had cleaning assistants throughout the night.

No More FOMO…. or is it MORE FOMO!!!?

FOMO EVENTS On the 9th of April 2022, all roads led to Ngong Racecourse for the Fireboy DML concert hosted by FOMO Events. This was one of my favourite events in the last two years. Not only because FireBoy was performing but also due to the high standards FOMO have set in the event organizing space. From the ticketing process to customer service and security at the venue. I arrived at Ngong Racecourse at 9.30 PM. I was hyped and ready to party, but also concerned for my security. Ngong Racecourse is infamous for its insecurity. Most events held here have pickpockets and muggers. My friends have been assaulted and robbed several times when attending a concert here. And I’ve been pickpocketed twice before. However, things were different this time. There were armed policemen, armed private security and undercover officers everywhere. And as a result, not a single person in my crew was robbed. The ticketing process was smooth and fast. And there were three security checkpoints. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the process and I was finished in less than 5 minutes. Other than Fireboy, the lineup was impressive. It included Nviiri The Storyteller, Dj Grauchi, DJ Shinski and DJ Kym. These are the most popular performers in the city right now and they were incredible. In my opinion, Nviiri had the best performance of the night. Yes… I preferred his performance to Fireboy’s. The prices of drinks were expensive as is common in Kenyan events with the cheapest bottle of hard liquor costing about KSh 5000. However, the price of beer was quite affordable at KSh 200. This was most likely due to the event being sponsored by Guinness. Fireboy DML performed past midnight and it was worth the wait. The sound, lighting and pyrotechnics were impressive and made the event worthwhile. The ticket price of KSh 2000 made this concert a steal and I met so many of my friends there. Anyone who missed out must have felt FOMO. I can’t wait to attend their next event and highly recommend you try out FOMO Events on your next night out.
