they offer quality service and unmatchable airfares in the market currently. they are also great at assisting first-time flyers. great customer service, prompt attendance on checking in. Having used Jambojet a number of times, this is the only airline that is affordable to a common mwanaichi I should say. Being Kenya Airways brand it has kept its standards since 2014. My first time using Jambojet we were in a brand new Bombardier Q400 turboprop plane that was full to capacity with 40 travelers. Very easy and accurate reservation process from their website. The plane was very clean, and the staff was friendly. There were no delays and service was very good, unfortunately, no free snacks on the flights though. Jambojet has been a pleasant surprise, for a low cost airline. It flies into Diani Beach on the Kenyan coast, which helped us to avoid the long wait at the ferry. We had a chicken salad sandwich, a very tasty salad! The take-off and landing were smooth. SinceJambojet is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kenya Airways, you can be assured of top-quality service and adherence to the highest international safety standards.

I’ve used this airline a number of times. It’s my go to every time I want to make either one way or return trips domestically. Basically Jambojet is a subsidiary airline that was started to enable passengers who want to use this services have access. Most of my common trips have been from Kisumu to Nairobi and Kisumu to Mombasa .I have booked my tickets online and I find the online services very convenient and transparent. They gave me notifications as soon as I bought my ticket and a copy was sent to me via my email. It contained all the relevant details and information pertaining to my trip.I’m quite satisfied with Jambojet but the only thing I don’t like about this airline is that twice now I have experienced delays. To me, this is such an inconvenience and when I have urgent things that need to get done I don’t use them. There was one time my flight was delayed for up to two hours and I was not given an explanation whatsoever. I remember on one occasions my fellow passengers kept saying this has happened to them severally and it was just a little alarming.Other than this, everything else at this airline is done at per. The affordability is one of my favorite things. On all my trips I have never spent more than 10,000/=. If you book earlier you get to enjoy way lower prices. One time I bought my ticket for as low as 3500/= for my trip to Kisumu. On the flight the cabin crew were very friendly and professional. For my height(which is quite something) there was enough leg room and the seats were very comfortable. There was in-flight entertainment with WiFi and movies. I barely got to enjoy the because my trip was very short. Cleanliness was upheld at high standards and their is also a light snack that was provided during my trip. Overally, if you are looking for a budget airline this is your go to service.

This is a subsidiary of Kenya airways and a low cost carrier. Its a small plane that carries approximately 60-80 passengers. I’ve used it on many occasions and it is quite affordable and safe. Jumbo jet does international flights operating from terminal 1A in JKIA and domestic flights to Eldoret, Mombasa, Kisumu , Malindi operating from terminal 1D. Currently there are no international flights. I always book the flight online and pay with Mpesa or visa card but you can also visit their offices in Barclays plaza, Market street Starehe and do so. Note that the aircraft works on first come first serve basis so the earlier you book the cheaper it’ll be. Average cost from Nairobi to Entebbe is about 14000kshs. As a budget airline, passengers pay extra for checked luggage, pre-reserved seats, seats with extra legroom and onboard food and beverages. For luggage, you will have to pay for it according to the number of bags and kilograms you will be carrying. They have an option of 23KGS and 32KGS at different costs respectively. You can also book a seat at an extra cost but you can always avoid this by checking in early at the airport and getting a good seat. Check in online costs 4 dollars and is not worth it for a cheap flight unless it’s an emergency Flights are usually on time however delays are communicated late. They have no miles accumulation or customer loyalty programmes. The pilots and air hosts/hostesses are polite and very professional. Don’t worry about your child traveling alone because they will take care of them fully till their final destination so long as it is with them. And all special needs persons are taken care of professionally as well. No food or complimentary drinks are provided however the price is similar but slightly cheaper than the flights that provide such services. They also have fancy items on sale while aboard and you will find them in a magazine that is provided for you at the back of the seat right in front of you. All in all, Jambo jet is good because it’s a cheap flight. However the baggage allowance is small, and paying for extra baggage tops up the flight to cost the same as other flights especially for the flight from Entebbe to Nairobi.
