Java House, commonly referred to as ‘Nairobi Java’, opened its first store in 1999 at Adam’s Arcade in Nairobi. With the aim of introducing gourmet coffee drinking culture in Kenya, the first outlet was a coffee shop and later the brand evolved to an American diner style restaurant to its present-day status as a 3 -day part coffee-led, casual dining concept.

Java House is now one of the leading coffee brands in Africa and has grown to have outlets in 14 cities across 3 countries in East Africa (Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda). It has also birthed two sister brands Planet Yoghurt, a healthy, tasty and fun frozen yogurt store and 360 Degrees Pizza, a casual dining restaurant.

“Welcome to Java. A home away from home”

Our coffee houses would not be what they are without the effort, commitment, and passion of the Java House team who make sure each branch is a place where everyone feels at home. Quality and professionalism are deeply rooted in our culture and we ensure that every cup poured and every plate served is a reflection of our promise of offering only the best.

Java! Java! Java! I’ve had both good and bad experiences to be honest. I don’t understand why over the years, their service has become terrible, food doesn’t taste as it used to and not mentioning the things I’ve found in my food 😩. I visited this branch sometime last year as we were going to Kericho. So I ordered some fish fingers and fries (500/=) for my son and let me just say aki niligongwa…because what you see is not what you get. To make matters worse we waited for a whole 1hr just to be disappointed..I’ll post the pic. The only good experience I’ve had with these guys is only on their cake, coffee, ice cream, macadamia cookies, granola and Dawa. Whenever they have these offers for buy 1 get 1 free I’d advise you to stay away kabisaaaa. They post such a nice pic lakini kenye utapata will totally disappoint you. I’ve taken advantage of their offers so many times..i decided to stick to when they have offers on cake or coffee. Like juzi I order for the ¼ chicken, chips and soda for 500/= only to get tissue in my food and the fries zimekauka and they were not even yummy. Then some of their staff are not polite at all..very rude and unprofessional. Their prices are honestly the best but the food aki stay away.. I’ve had my share. I just wish they would go back to how they used to run things when they started.
