Wide variety of tasty burgers.

4.4/ 5

Mama rocks burgers have some of the best burgers I’ve had in Nairobi. It is located at the popular joint, The Alchemist. An uber from town will cost you about KES200. They also have branches in Karen, Kilimani, and Riviera. The ambiance makes you forget that you are in Westlands. Once we were seated, I ordered the mango Maasai burger that cost KES950. The rest of my friends ordered different burgers from the menu and I am quite sure they all enjoyed their meals because they couldn’t talk about them. Each burger comes with a side of well-seasoned fries. They also give you a choice of the sauce you’d like. Loved their sauces especially the honey mustard and the mango mayo. They also sell alcoholic drinks here. They have a number of offers going on throughout the week. They also have ribs on the menu and although I haven’t tried it yet, I’ve been told is very tasty. They also do deliveries to your office or home. 10/10 recommend.

MAMA ROCKS, ROCKS !

5/ 5

Mama Rocks is not your stereotypical restaurant, it’s designed in a way that focuses on putting them on a higher plane, a higher vibration if I may. Mama rocks is different , they’ve created a lively street food scene that is groovy , hip, hype , with the right amount of color playfulness, bubbly personnel and intoxicatingly delicious food. FOOD :- (Price range from Kshs.130 to Kshs. 1100) Mama Rocks serve handcrafted African Gourmet burgers , wings, fries , milkshakes and sweet treats that are unique creations made with utmost love. Samantha and Natalie (the sisters behind Mama Rocks) have an incredible twist to African inspired food and inimitable flavors that you can only experience in their hands ,only. The Mango Masai mama burger (Kshs.950/=) is hands down my favorite burger. A prime cut grilled beef patty topped with a healthy kick of chili mango mayonnaise, orange cheddar cheese, mixed salad, homemade gherkins and a slice of sweet roasted red bell pepper served with standard potato fries , a sauce of your choice and of course a whole lot of love . I had my burger with the Only the Brave Hot Sauce (Kshs.50) which is a hot yet gratifying pepper sauce that took the flavors over the moon. SERVICE: – Everyone at Mama Rocks is jolly, happy and the general feel of the place is just right and very calming. Fast and personal service, with attentive team that ensure you’re enjoying every bit of being in their hype space. Eating from Mama Rocks means you’ll never have to settle for any other burger. I HIGHLY recommend them, in a heartbeat.

Best burgers in Kenya

View All

5/ 5

Their burgers are juicy, mouth watering and the absolute best burgers I have had in Nairobi. My particular favourite is the Mango Masai Mama beef burger. They even have a vegetarian option for their burgers, they also have home made sauces that you can combine with your burger. Their burgers go for around Ksh. 1,000 and if you are on a budget you can wait for their buy one get one offers. They also do home deliveries using Glovo, Jumia, Uber eats etc. They are located in Westlands right opposite Sarit centre where they run a food truck but have a beautiful open air restaurant space to go with it. They also have a Roslyn Riviera branch.

Burgers on a bus!

View All

4.4/ 5

Famously known for their burgers, Mama Rocks is located within Alchemist Bar, in Westlands. The burger joint is actually an open bus – from where they make and serve the burgers from. Outside the bus is a small dining area with cafeteria-style benches and tables. When you walk in, you will notice a board with all their burger offers in colorful chalk. It is quite a popular joint and you will barely find space to sit during the weekends, and one might opt for takeout. I visited Mama Rocks on a Wednesday, right after school because I had been craving burgers all week. The restaurant was relatively deserted and I was the only customer there – which I loved because I normally find it crowded. I ordered their spicy beef burger which goes for 890KES. The restaurant also sells sauces that are packaged in 500ml glass jars. I particularly love their mango-flavored spicy sauce with everything! The staff are friendly and they do have waiters who serve you at your table, despite them being more of a food truck. I took my order to go and I wasn’t disappointed at all when I got home and had a bite of that juiciness!! My cravings were certainly satisfied. I would definitely go back on a weekday and to try out more of their burger options!

It was definitely an amazing experience

I still remember the first time I walked over to the mama rocks food cart at the alchemist, first of all the ambience is great with a live music section a few steps from the food truck. So on weekends you can always order a delicious meal while listening to some good live music. The burgers at mama rocks are to die for, and I love how they tailored the names of the burgers to different countries. I’m personally in love with the “great Zambezi” fish burger. Never knew a burger could be made with fish and even taste better that a beef or chicken burger. Mama rocks is definitely a great place with great food and I would eat there everyday if I could.

Delicious African-inspired gourmet burgers

5/ 5

This funky food truck is Nairobi’s first, serving up a variety of delicious African-inspired gourmet burgers from its communal space at the Yard. The Mango Masai Mama, inspired by East Africa with its mango and red bell peppers, is a must-try. The beef patty is topped with Mama’s signature chili mango sauce, cheddar cheese, and sweet roasted bell pepper.
