L’Oréal East Africa, a subsidiary of L’Oreal Group, introduced a new range of beauty products that are named after its US-based affiliate, Maybelline in the Kenyan market. My journey with Maybelline started in 2019 after my sister introduced me to the brand… she has been a loyal customer since 2017, and she still is, there is no Maybelline product she does not have. This is what I call loyalty. Maybelline has a large array of colors and finishes for a terrific price. I use other brands too, but you will not miss poreless powder in my purse. Maybelline colossal mascara is the best. It curls my eyelashes and gives them an appearance of thickness and makes them look longer not forgetting it’s waterproof. No matter how many I try, I always come back to it. It separates my lashes and never looks thick and gloopy. Perfect for an enhanced natural look, it is also inexpensive and can easily be found in every store. Maybelline Fit foundation blends in perfectly. It doesn’t collect in fine lines, great coverage. Wears well into the night. Smooth application. Not too thick so it looks natural. I can use it straight from the bottle or mix different shades depending on the time of day. .however, during the daytime, all I need is one coat, thinly applied to accommodate the daylight! It works for me. I’ve tried several different brands of liquid base makeups and have found this product beat them all. And the different shades make it easy to mix together to create your very own blend that’s perfect for you! The product must be hypoallergenic because it doesn’t make my face itch like some of the others can. I’m definitely very satisfied with this product!

This is one of the commonest make up brands all around. I started my make up journey with Maybelline and currently I may buy one or two things from elsewhere but my basic products always come from here.They have several stores especially around Nairobi and wherever you are you will probably find their stores or Kiosks.Even if it’s not their specific kiosks,There are many other shops all around who are authorised vendors .Buying make up for me should only be from an authorised Vendor or else it’s very easy to sometimes buy counterfeit products. This stalls in Yaya is my go to. I think it’s probably because I’m such a local here and I’m familiar with all the staff. I love how this store uses authentic and safe materials in making their products. There is also an evident gap in quality when compared to some other make up brands with Maybelline staying among the top. Their products are also relatively affordable and you don’t have to break the bank when shopping here.Their super stay foundation to me is one for the books.It offers such full coverage and it stays on your face perfectly well even for the whole day.You don’t have to keep adjusting or worrying that your make up will slightly lose it’s sheen after a period of time. I buy this mostly from here and they always have my shade.Their range when it comes to foundation I must admit is slightly lacking and I usually have to blend two shades in order to get the perfect colour for my skin. They also sells make up brushes and beauty blenders for beginners but I’ve never really bought the tools from here.The staff here are pretty cool. The place is small so there is only so much help you can need. They also give you some make up tips here and there. The Maybelline super stay foundation is priced differently depending on the store but I’ve never bought it for more than 2800/=. They have so many other make up products and a visit here is definitely recommend.

I was casually taking a stroll in Yaya Centre on a weekday when I passed by the Maybelline Kiosk.I was really just minding my own business eating my froyo but noo they kept enticing me with the different make up options especially their new fit me foundation. My then existing knowledge about make up was actually close to none but once I purchased this foundation, I would take several minutes off in a day to watch YouTube videos and now you can call me Sensei (okay mini sensei). The fit me foundation is their new product that was released into the market to cater for those women who usually want a soft layer of make up and not a full face.Most make up brands when you have their foundation on everyone will know it.For Maybelline,this Fit me foundation blends so well with your skin it’s quite difficult to tell it’s layered.It gives an all natural look and glow .It also does a simple cover up of any blemishes you have. The best part about this is that if you want to switch up from an all natural make up look and get all dolled up you just add a few layers of foundation (usually the more dolled up you want to look the more layers you’ll need.). This was my first time trying this brand and I didn’t really know what shade to use.This problem of mine was easily resolved by their professional make up artists. They tried their most recommend shade on my face and allowed me to get a preview of what I would look like when wearing it.This was clearly a ruse because after that I was sold.I was like it’s okay take all my money.I looked so gorgeous.I ended up buying the Fit me foundation, powder and primer. Everything cost me a total of 3500kshs.This is relatively cheaper compared to other foreign make up brands because that amount would probably only get you a foundation.They even gave me a cute little make up bag for customer appreciation. They also have this really wonderful super stay foundation for those who want full coverage with a longer duration. It’s slightly expensive than the Fit me but it’s because it has better qualities and definitely worth your money. I talked mostly about the foundation because that’s all I bought but they have such a wide range of products:anything cosmetic and beauty related,they definitely got it.
