Pallet Cafe

I Came here with some friends for breakfast on my off day. Pallet Cafe started in 2018 with its first restaurant in Lavington, opposite Lavington Mall on James Gichuru Drive. Super affordable and has a charming ambiance inside. The staff was super friendly, and the presentation of everything was excellent! I got the samosa and coffee, which was really good. My friend had pancakes, and she really enjoyed them. Surprisingly, we got really full and didn’t even finish all the food served. I will definitely go back and try other foods on the menu.

Pallet Cafe is set in a tranquil environment in the Lavington area, along James Gichuru Road, directly opposite Lavington Shopping mall. In an effort to promote the training and employment of differently-abled persons, the Cafe hires deaf staff; a first for Kenya. At the entrance, guests are met by a waiter who shows them to their table. On the back of the waiter’s shirt are the words ‘I am deaf’. They take orders from their clients using sign language and within no time, food is brought to the table with great efficiency. The menu at the restaurant has sign language translations which help the customer know how to order. And not to worry if you can’t sign a word of KSL. You will still have a great time. Plus it’ll be an opportunity to learn one or two signs… you know. The atmosphere is quite serene hence the numerous patrons visibly using the cafe as a workstation. The service was impeccable and our waiter Boniface was extremely attentive and patient, and he made us feel very welcome! As soon as we walked in through the entrance of the cafe, he greeted us warmly and allowed us to pick our preferred table. Both the drinks and food menus are pretty large and there’s almost something for everyone. Watch out for the special of the day. On this day it was a fish burger and home-cooked fries. We ordered smoked salmon on a bed of avocado and lettuce accompanied by garlic fries.

I would rate this place 101% everything was great, the services were amazing.I was even able to learn some sign languages. It was clean and the environment was beautiful.i took some pictures and they were really nice.im sure I will be coming back again with my friends soon

After wanting to take my lady there for some time, I finally got the chance. This garden cafe in Lavington truly lives up to its hype. The ambiance is amazing. We loved the outdoor sitting with the shade, their staff is very polite and friendly. The food took some time to reach our table but we enjoyed taking in the ambiance. The location of this place is everything. The food surpassed our expectations. I had their chicken wrap with a side of fries which was KES800 and she had the fried salmon with asparagus which was KES1300. We both enjoyed our meals. Their milkshakes are also very good. I also got the chance to practice my sign language as some of the members of their staff are deaf. It got very cold in the evening but the staff brought us a jiko to warm us while we continued with our meal. Perfect place for an intimate date or family outings.
