largest Shopping, Recreation and Entertainment destination. The complex is home to over 150 outlets covering 210,000 square feet of retail space, 20,000 square feet of office space among many other facilities. The mall essentially provides residents of the area with high-end shopping and entertainment, satisfying a niche that was not previously explored.

As the name suggests, the complex embodies the spirit of the African market in an open-air setting. To live up to its African theme, are waterfalls, rivers and over 2000 exotic plants and gardens, giving this magnificent shopping centre an edge over other shopping malls. Since its inception 14 years ago, The Village Market has revolutionized shopping while redefining recreation and entertainment. Over the years, the centre has successfully been able to blend modernity and culture to provide an aura of modern shopping.

This innovation has not gone unnoticed. Due to its remarkable architectural design, The Village Market has earned numerous accolades including the coveted International Council of Shopping Centres’ Design Award. The Village Market is a preferred filming destination with numerous movies and TV shows shot in the complex.

It has also received coverage by a host of national and local broadcast and print media outlets. The Village Market has been the focus of documentaries on business, recreation and entertainment features. By hosting more than 300 events and activities each year, the complex has become a place artists can exhibit their talent and meet their fans; companies can launch and re-launch their products and visitors can enjoy international events and holidays such as Halloween. The annual Halloween party attracts over 6,000 people.

In addition to its accolades, The Village Market continues to be increasingly popular with vibrant shoppers and eager tourists. Just as every visitor to Paris yearns to see the Eiffel Tower, a trip to Kenya is not complete until one has visited The Village Market. The Village Market attracts thousands of international tourists every year due to its architectural ingenuity as well as the unique African artifacts often on display by local traders and artists.
Inspired by the need to preserve cultural roots while harnessing aspects of contemporary lifestyles, The Village Market settled on a ‘village theme.’ This is characterized by the African spirit of togetherness, sharing and communal life – the seams that held ancient African society together. Likewise, The Village Market is reflective of these salient cultural features.

There’s something about this mall that makes it stand apart from other shopping malls in terms of its overall design and layout. It’s beautiful. The decor is simply superb and each section looks different. An excellent place to chill… socialize…meet and greet and much more. A vibrant venue with a cosmopolitan mix of humanity with a happy and cheerful vibe. Loads of food varieties at the food courts along with some up. market lounges n fine-dine eateries. Lovely coffee areas and chocolate bars along with great shops with some very good up-market gift items all under one roof. Supermarkets also exist so quickly. purchase is possible. We celebrated my niece’s birthday at the bowling alley and we had an absolute blast. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We greatly enjoyed the pool, foosball, bowling, and use of the private event rooms. Highly recommend it Since its renovation, it welcomed doors to S African shops. The Maasai Market is every Friday. Beautiful stuff but more pricey than at the other Maasai markets as it’s close to the UN and lots of UN staff visit on Fridays. You can get the same stuff at the junction on Thursdays and cheaper. Always bargain at a much lower price.

The village market is East Africa’s largest Shopping, Recreation, and Entertainment destination. The mall is located in the Gigiri residential area which is about 6 miles 10km from Nairobi city center on Limuru Road. For people who want to go out and have some free time, the village market has all activities going on. Over 150 retail shops are selling local and designer wear, fashion, accessories, and footwear. The mall also has a pool, foosball, bowling, beauty, and hair salon services. It also has different types of restaurants that offer a wide range of cuisines and also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a Carrefour Supermarket for people who wants to do grocery or get other stuff. The mall has a unique design with indoor & outdoor areas. Something about this mall that makes it stand apart from other shopping malls in terms of its overall design and layout. It’s beautiful. The décor is simply superb and each section looks different. With many entertainment foods and shopping options, it’s a must-go mall. It’s a fun place suitable for the whole family.

This is an amazing place to visit to have fun with friends and family. It is a destination for both local and international tourists located in Gigiri Nairobi. There are various outlets selling local and designer wear, fashion, accessories and footwear items. There are a wide range of delicious cuisines to enjoy as well as activities to keep busy such as bowling which costs sh350 per person per game, air hockey and other activities as well. On Wednesdays, burgers are buy 1 get 1 free and who doesn’t want free stuff? The only downside is the overcrowding during weekends and holidays.

Are you and your friends idle and bored after spending endless days indoors doing nothing and need to go somewhere outdoors to continue doing absolutely nothing? Then this is the place for you.Contrary to my starting pitch this location is one of the busiest with so many activities. It’s one of the largest malls in Kenya and it has a really unique and beautiful design. Compared to the other malls I find the layout very appealing and when put together with the large variety of shops there it becomes an excellent place to chill and shop. It’s located in Gigiri next to the luxurious tribe hotel offering convenience to those who want to access accommodation. This mall has a very high inflow of both local and international visitors who come to interact and spread a cheerful vibe. Some of the services it offers include;banking &money services, health&safety service, technology, car repair &transport, beauty, home and family, fashion and lastly concierge. Famous stores located here include; Adidas,After eats,Artcaffe,Artz gallery,Ballpoints social club,Bata, Carrefour,City wall and CJ’s. The list of shops I could make is endless and they literally can’t all fit in this tiny review. It has a bowling alley that presents a perfect opportunity to let go of some steam and catch up with your friends. The Maasai market is open every Friday and you can get to grab some souvenirs and African products. The food court offers some of the best cuisines at different prices catering to different pockets. The only thing I didn’t like about Village market is that on weekends and holidays it can get really really crowded and noisy .If you want to really have fun here be sure to not to go during peak hours.
