Yolo Icecream

While I’ve had Pretty Cool Ice Cream before, this was my first time visiting the shop. There were so many fun flavors, and the staff was really friendly about giving us suggestions. I ADORED the different combinations of ice cream and caramel/ chocolate sauce and loved the seasonal flavors. Everything is reasonably priced, and they even have different size ice creams to accommodate children and avoid wasting food. It is such a fun atmosphere.

For those who may not know YOLO is an abbreviation for You Only Live Once! I think their idea was to make you always come back for more ice cream than you intend to. Come January the City will get hot and I don’t think you will not want to indulge yourself in some Yolo ice cream. YOLO Ice Cream has established itself as a major ice cream player and as a popular hangout during Nairobi’s sweltering summers. The YOLO ice cream located at the heart of Nairobi Cbd, Kenya third floor and on your right-hand side has left its stamp on the hearts and stomachs of individuals nearby, I have been here a number of times, but this time round it was even more special, hubby made it special! He is not a fan of ice cream, but to my surprise, he agreed to us coming here. The ice cream parlor is beautifully themed with vibrant colors. The atmosphere is funky and fun at the same time and they have a really terrific food menu. The setting is well suited for anyone to have a private conversation while indulging in their favorite tasty ice cream. When we got there we were welcomed by a bubbly waiter, from the look she was excited as I was to be there… it was like she was waiting for us. I have a soft spot for such gentle, bubbly smiling staff. I should say not many ice cream joints in Nairobi are as affordable as Yolo Ice Cream. The majority of them charge exorbitant pricing for ice cream, frequently driving away customers. No wonder the place is always full. We were spoilt for choice and we kept debating on what to order. Literally, after a few minutes, we settled on the mega combo. Here prices range from anything between Sh 40 to Sh 1,000. There’s literally something for everyone! The best thing about Yolo Ice cream is that the products they use are locally sourced with no preservatives. They’ve got thick milkshakes, tasty ice cream, and fresh virgin cocktails at fair prices. I highly recommend this place for couples and people who are dating

Located in Allgate Building 1st floor, Aga Khan walk, Nairobi. Behind Kenya Cinema plaza, this ice cream spot is to die for. The decor and graffiti are a sight to behold. The menu has a wide range of cocktails, ice cream and milkshake. The waiting period isn’t long except on the weekend where there is a large huge flocking of ice cream lovers but the servings on the menu are worth the wait. The staff is very friendly and interact well with the clients. Be sure to take a photo if you visit the place. I had a mix of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream and hands down it was the best ice cream I ever had and the quantity is totally worth it.

Thick milkshake, tasty ice cream, and fresh virgin cocktails. That describes everything about this place from the moment you walk in. We entered and you can taste the sweetness in the air literally. We were gutted to find quite a line but since it was hot and we wanted to try it out, we waited. We were lucky to get 3 sits when some guys left. We decided to try everything so I went with the Honest mistake which is vanilla ice cream with fruits inside and some toppings. I must say hands down that was the best ice-cream mixture I’ve taken in my life. I loved the naming of the milkshakes and cocktails; funny as hell. The service was faster than we expected since there were many people and they were really warm and friendly. I loved it through it all. I’ll surely come back again and if you wanna enjoy amazing ice cream then this is the place to be.
