The charming locals who are always smiling will also draw you in with their stories, and take you to explore the islands and coastal region. The perfect temperature and cooling sea breeze will make you think you’re in heaven. But before enjoying all the allures of the Kenyan coastal region, you need to find the perfect beach resort first. There are so many of them and choosing the perfect one is really hard. So I’ve made a list of my “Top 10 Beach Resorts in Kenya” to help you with your selection.
1) The Charming Lonno Lodge
With a 5/5 rating from 500 reviewers, this 5 Star lodge is the recipient of “Trip Advisors 2020 Best of the Best” awards. Meaning Lonno Lodge is in the top 1% of best-rated businesses in the world. In other words, it’s the perfect resort, with breath-taking views, excellent service, the best food you could possibly eat, and at the perfect price.
The Charming Lonno Lodge is located on the seaside of Watamu Marine Park offering beautiful views of the world-renowned Watamu Beach. The secluded nature of the resort ensures you will always have privacy and its small size ensure all the guests get top quality service. The resort is also a walking distance from many incredible locations such as the PGA certified Vipingo Ridge Golf Course. 2) Medina Palms Watamu
Located along Watamu Beach, one of the best beaches in the world, Medina Palms is one of the most popular 5 Star Hotels in Watamu. Their luxury suites and villas offer beautiful views of the ocean, garden, and plunge pool that winds through the resort. Their restaurant also has world-class chefs cooking some of the best food you’ll ever have. All of the food on their menu is incredible and you’ll want to try everything. The staff also offers free windsurfing and kayaking lessons. However, one of Medina Palms’ defining qualities is its wonderful and friendly staff, and the staff is what makes the resort a popular honeymoon and holidaying destination.
3) Hemingways Watamu
Hemingways Watamu is located in the middle of Watamu Marine Park. This marine park is famous for its idyllic white sand beach and turquoise waters. Hemingways is the definition of luxury, its beautiful rooms all have views of the ocean, and the friendly staff and amazing food ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The 5 Star hotel has a lot of activities. You can snorkel within the marine park which is considered one of the best snorkeling and diving areas on the coast of Africa. If you want a golfing holiday then you need to visit Vipingo Ridge. 10) Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort
Located on one of the longest beach fronts on the Kenyan Coast, Sarova Whitesands has been one of the best resorts for family getaways for years. It has 5 swimming pools equipped with waterslides, four flood-lit tennis courts, a kids club, and a host of water sports such as jet-skiing. So, you can never get bored at Sarova Whitesands. The hotel rooms are really clean and well maintained. Most have beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding garden creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation.
