Nairobi’s micro-brewery scene is small but growing, this restaurant, brewery, and lounge is one of the city’s most popular. Everyone flocks to the rooftop for German beer garden vibes and exciting nightlife, from salsa nights to live music. They offer five core micro-brews — from pilsners to stouts, and seasonal beers to boot. Order some bar snacks during happy hour and enjoy the amazing city views

Brunch? Oh yes indeed!!!

We went on a Tuesday (Ngong Raod brunch) and I may surprisingly admit that these guys have done a wonderful job of putting everything together in a winner-takes-it atmosphere! Food, drinks, service, ambiance, music, you name it, they provided and provided with superior professionalism! Our waitress Nancy was amazing she kept coming again and again… Don’t let your Sundays be boring. If you are also looking for a Sunday afternoon and evening out along Ngong Road, this is it! this lounge is a timeless and decadent restaurant serving up delicious cuisines from pan-global influences. Their dining and lounge experience sets up an energetic and inviting evening. Found in both Fortis Tower and Ngong Road, Brew Bistro took Nairobi by storm back in 2009 when it was launched. The restaurant, which is part of ‘the big 5 brewers’ shows off its big inviting lounge spaces and luxurious open kitchen in the heart of their restaurants. They have great offers for brunch, and if you are a freshly brewed beer and barbeque person, then this is it NB I don’t take anything alcoholic, just recommending it. Unlimited barbeque at very good prices. Good music at very nice volume thus you can have a good conversation. And if you are a sports person, that is catered for too with their TVs even on the balcony. They have heaters to keep you warm if it gets too cold. What my friends love about Brew Bistro is that they have a huge and varied selection of drinks. All their beers are brewed in-house and they also offer up a pretty tasty range of cocktails. Those that avoid alcohol like me go for their ‘drink and drive’ mocktail. We happened to be there on a Tuesday and it was built your own burger day! Uh yes. I had Texan Burger which comes with Belgian fries, It also came topped with 2 onion rings, yum! while my friends ordered fries and steak OMG, super seriously DELICIOUS!

All the beer you can drink

I love beer. I can drink beer for breakfast. Just kidding. That is the reason I love brew bistro. I frequent the one at Fortis Tower in westlands. A cab from the city center costs KES220. This particular one is at the rooftop so you bet the view is breath taking. They offer quite a variety of beer and their prices are fair. Starting from KES500 to KES900 for 750ml of beer. They even have a taproom where you get to sample locally brewed beers. Just thinking about this place makes me happy. Its not all beer. For the food lovers, they have brunch Sunday where you pay KES3500 for bottomless brunch, all you can eat. Plus their service is pretty fast for a place that is packed by 8pm. Its ambience allows for chill lunch with friends and you can also stay to the night where you get to experience the Nairobi night life at the rooftop. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking to have a good time.

Fun filled family brunch over amazing food.

I went to Brew Bistro with my family for brunch during this quarantine period. Brew Bistro is a lounge that serves really good food and at night it qualifies for a night club. It has two branches, one is in Ngong road and the other one is in Westlands. We went to the branch along Ngong road and it was quite a distance from CBD. The good thing is that it’s right along the road so the location was pretty easy to find. Because we visited here during the pandemic, I feel like their was much about this restaurant that I did not get to experience. We had made a reservation earlier so the sitting arrangement was pretty cosy for me and my family. The only thing I didn’t like was the lighting inside the restaurant was pretty dark and considering it was during the day it made the whole mood sombre. Their brunch menu is normally very extensive from what I’ve heard because it was initially a highly recommended brunch location . When we got there this of course was true the only catch was that only about three or two meals from the menu were ready due to the corona restrictions. You had to wait for around twenty minutes for the meal you wanted from their menu to be prepared and I didn’t mind it too much because I understood it was the whole pandemic. I ate so much food and it was so filling. My favorite food from that day would definitely be the beef and chicken curry. Some of the best curry I’ve had my whole life. The beef and the lamb chops were too fatty for my liking and a little bland if I’m being honest. The waffles and the pancakes were pretty good. Their fruit selection was very lacking with only about four to five fruits to choose from. We got there at around 11:30am and the place was relatively quiet till about 4:30pm you couldn’t even talk too loud because the person on the other end of the restaurant would feel like your stories were for the whole place and they deserved a right to comment. At 4:30 with no warning whatsoever the place became instantly full and even the music became livelier for some reason. It took alot of discipline for us to leave. Definitely recommend.

Beer ! Beer and more Beer!

Brew Bistro is a restaurant, microbrewery, gastropub, and night club all in one. Grab delicious food during the day and drag the fun all the way through the night and experience the Nairobi nightlife through the lens that is Brew Bistro. It gets full very quickly therefore reservations are an easy way to avoid the hustle. There are two branches one in Westlands, Fortis Tower and the other along Ngong road. They actually even opened a taproom which is absolutely perfect for those who enjoy locally brewed beers. Personally, for me, beers are a no that’s why I always go for their cocktails.

One of my favourite things in life is happy hour and they have that. Although it’s not applicable for all their cocktails, the available deals present will not leave you disappointed. The winners though are those who enjoy beer because for that Brew is definitely the place. Another favourite thing about Brew Bistro is their Bottomless Sunday Brunch. One of my favourite brunch spots because of the variety. There’s so much to eat I never want to leave. And you enjoy that with some good music playing enjoying the company of those you love I mean what else could you ask for. The service is relatively fast so ensure you order your food early enough if in a rush. Definitely rate it 4/5.

This is a great place for sunday brunches. Went there with partner for the first time for their sunday brunches and it was an amazing experience. It was a buffet with all sorts of seafood, amazing burgers and the best part is they had the bottomless alcohol service where you pay a certain amount which was 3500kes and you get unlimited food and liquor and the service was also impressive. I kept going back there with bae afterwards.
