Chandarana is a chain of supermarkets that is Kenyan-owned. It started with a small grocery shop at the busy corner of Highridge Shopping Centre at Masari Road and 3rd Avenue Parklands. It later developed, and other branches were opened in different parts of Nairobi, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nanyuki, and Mombasa. Chandarana Foodplus is the right choice for your need for fresh and cheap foods. This place has the best and freshest fruits the customer service is on top. I feel so strong after eating some fresh fruits and vegetables from here. The items are well arranged and nicely tagged with price making it easy for anyone to shop. Wide selection of a great deal of general and rare items. Definitely worth visiting if you can’t find a thing anywhere else. Very friendly staff and well stocked and clean. All their stores are always well stocked with great variety. I had one of the best shopping experiences, with the team always helping when needed.

Chandarana Food Plus is a good supermarket to shop for a variety of items. I’ve been to their branch at Yaya Center and the supermarket is well organized with items well placed on shelves and the environment is suitable for shopping. The customer service was nice but they could improve a bit in regards to paying more attention to customers and seeing that their experience is satisfactory. Other than that, they are a clean supermarket and I love the fresh veggies available.

Chandrana is one of the largest supermarket that has been operating from many years and helping locals to access goods and services at a cheaper and convenient way. Their service is one of the best as they have well trained staff that helps you out with your queries. One great thing about chandarana is that they have variety of products from foodstuff to school supplies, furniture to hardware needs, pet food items to sanitary items. These various range of products make it a one stop area for people to acquire their daily items. The other thing is that they have a points card which gives points as you purchase items, the advantage is that the points can be used to pay for goods for example 0.85 points is equal to 1 kenya shilling. A point is earned when you have purchased goods. For every 100 kenya shillings spent you get a point. Sometimes they even give you double points on certain products. The best part is that you can donate these points and they will buy products and feed the poor or underprivileged people. By doing this you are promoting the business and also doing community service. They have a very good ambience with music in the background making the customers feel comfortable and enjoy their shopping experience in a unique and enthusiastic manner. They also have a gift voucher system, you can buy these prepaud vouchers and gift them to family, friends or even employees who can purchase items worth the voucher without having to cash. This is a new entrant in the supermarket industry. They have several stores in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu. What differentiates them from the other supermarkets is the ambience. If you like shopping in an ambient location, this is the place for you. The stores are not very huge but the arrangements allow for a spacious environment. The also stock the widest variety of vegetables and fruits. If you have never experience the feeling and smell of fresh vegetable the minute you enter a supermarket, then you don’t know what heaven is. The place is rarely crowded which means you can walk around and get things at your own paced and, there are no lines at the cashier. Sounds too good to be true? Well this is the case at chandarana. Their staff are very polite and ready to meet your every need. The also stock the widest variety of spices I have ever seen. A spice heaven if you ask me. All that coupled with frequent discounts, I would recommend this place for all your shopping needs.

When Chandarana food plus was opened in West end mall I was like YES!I had only used this store in Nairobi and I was like Kisumu also deserves good things.This supermarket is a favourite of mine because of how on almost all the days it is stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables.There are a variety of products and the store has such an assortment even including spices and condiments.Some branches are relatively small compared to others like for instance the one in West end is smaller than the one’s in Nairobi.Even though it is smaller it is still spacious and quite easy to navigate.Their shelves are neatly arranged and right from the entrance you are welcomed by a large display of the assortment of products.The different categories cater for different eating tastes and preferences .They frequently have discounts on their products and if you stop by you get to enjoy the deals.A shopping experience where you get to shop for more for less.They also have a mini restaurant at bay.I have never really ordered anything from here so I can’t really tell or say anything about it.Their customer care is at per and the staff are also quite friendly.I know when shopping you don’t necessarily look for ambiance but incase you ever do ,this place delivers.I would recommend that when going for grocery shopping from Chandarana the best days to go is on Saturday and on Wednesdays.They do a restock of their fresh goods on this day and as the life rule says : The fresher the better.They also have cakes and some freshly baked pastries so if you like baked goods this is a place you can grab some. A memorable mention of course has to be their spice selection.They have some range I promise.Any spice you need ,they’ve got it I can guarantee.

This supermarket offers a relaxed shopping atmosphere for your household needs.If I call this a one stop shop, I’ll absolutely be right. I don’t necessarily have to specify which of your needs will be met here because when it comes to shopping ,Chandarana foodplus got you covered .This store has an extensive coverage in regards to their products and also their locations. Definitely one of the best supermarkets in Kenya .On all my visits,I find it fully stocked with various brands.They have fresh products which may be locally produced or imported depending of your preference. They always have my second favourite motivational quote up on display 90% of the time. Everywhere I turn ,it’s just cards screaming Discounts!Discounts and more discounts! In all honesty once I see the words discount, my mind wanders .I may want to avoid splurging but of course I can’t help it.The mind may be strong but the body is regularly weak.Few minutes later my basket is full of things I never even planned for.If you love wine and alcohol,this place has some of the best liquor stores I’ve seen.I easily found my favourites and the range of alternative selections I could choose from was really wide. You don’t need to look that far :Chandarana definitely has it..The foodstuffs , fruits and groceries are particularly fresh. The place is very clean .The staff are friendly and approachable.The outlet is pretty easy to navigate and the products are arranged orderly in separate aisles and shelves. Unlike other supermarkets,I feel like Chandarana doesn’t really get crowded. You get ample space to shop and the wait time at the counter is very short.
