A different looking hotel
Majid restaurant, located in Nakuru CBD 159 km from Nairobi, is the home of Swahili, Asian and African cuisine. It is located on Inder Singh road and if you are not keen, you’re sure to miss it. I took a break from work the other day and decided to have lunch there. I got there at around 1pm and the place was packed. Like there was only one table available. They must be really good, I thought to myself. The place looks different from any hotel I’ve been in. Like it is from another culture. It has a lovely blend of brown and gold. The lights are warm and it has a lot of those because there is very little natural light. Past the entrance, I walk past a number of tables. Its not a huge place but its arrangement allows for space maximization. I took my seat at the corner and a neatly dressed waiter approached me with a warm greeting. Everything seemed so busy. I ordered pilau special which cost 250/= and a glass of passion juice which cost 120/= I could tell that they had plenty of orders to fill but amazingly I got my food in less than 20 minutes. The food was delicious. But it was the juice for me. I have never tasted such fresh and sweet passion juice. I still go there for juice every once in a while. I’d recommend this place for all my juice lovers
