Artcaffe Garden City Mall

More than a restaurant, Artcaffé is a social hub and a way of life in the buzzing capital of Kenya. I visited Artcaffé in Garden city Mall to meet up with some friends. It is located just across the road, making it easy to access. Four of us ate different pastries with drinks, and everything we tried was Delicious. The drinks here are incredible, with a fresh aroma. There was a great selection of food and drinks on the menu at affordable prices. The staff was friendly and professional, and the coffee was excellent. The cafe looked fantastic, with too many pastries to choose from. It’s a good place for a coffee if you want to sit and do some work. I will definitely go back and try other foods on the menu.

During My cousins stay in Kenya,we went for coffee’s a couple of times at Artcaffe. At 1 occasion we also had lunch. Quality in principle is good; well-sized portions and decent quality. Juices offered are also good. All together,this is a very decent place to have lunch. I recommend it anytime 🤗

The first time i went here, it was my sisters birthday and we decided to have dinner there. We settled on the branch at Garden City along Thika road since it was the closest to us. This is a few minutes from town and an Uber will cost you around 800KES. The minute you enter the restaurant you’ll notice it’s very chilled vibes. The decor and ambience are minimal but very stylish. The minute we sat down, a waiter approached our table and handed us the menus. Their staff are very friendly. We asked for some wine before we decided on what to order. Once we settled on what we wanted, the food didn’t take that long despite there being quite a number of people. I ordered the prawns tagliatelle which was 1390KES. This meal was heavenly. My sister had their Texas burger, it was huge.!!! The burger was 1100KES and came with a side of fries. Everything was very yummy. After our meal, we had their salted caramel cake. It was super nice when they asked to put ‘happy birthday’ one her plate of cake. We ordered more wine off course. Our bill came to a total of about 4000KES. It was value for money. This place has ample parking at a fee. It also gets quite full during peak hours so avoid that if you can. They also have numerous offers running through the month. Some on breakfast deals and happy hours- buy two for one cocktails.

This restaurant is lovely. I feel like all the branches are crafted so simply and perfectly. The decor is always on the minimal side and the ambiance very chill but at the same time sort of official. In Nairobi this is one of my favorite restaurants to dine in. Sometimes when I’m bored at home I drop by to read a book or two especially during the day before it gets crowded during the peak hours . From around 4pm it gets kind of noisy and it becomes difficult to concentrate. I think this is because of their happy hour deal which basically says come one come all. For me from their menu I think what I love the most is their pasta. Their other meals to me are pretty standard with nothing especially overwhelming . Their mushroom penne which costs around 1190/= is the pasta that’s closest to my heart. Basically it’s pasta that’s served with a creamy mushroom onion and garlic sauce with parmesan cheese and sugar snaps added on top. I occasionally add a serving or two of grilled chicken at about 100/=each. I kid you not if you love pasta this is a real babe. When it comes to drinks my favorite selection off their happy hour menu is their strawberry daiquiri. It used to be 700/=but the price went up it’s now 950/= to be honest, I love it cause it’s such a beautiful cocktail especially when it’s frozen over it looks like a nice tiny gorgeous mountain with cherry on top. I also find their coffee very well done. Their salted caramel cake that costs 390/= does wonders for my mouth it’s baked so well with just the right amount of sweetness;so much goodness.Their service is pretty fast but during the peak hours you can wait for quite a while.Overally , I love this place. In regards to convenience and pasta , they have my heart.

Weekdays can get really hectic sometimes. When this happens, Artcaffé at the Garden City Mall is the perfect spot to chill while enjoying a meal and drinks with my friends. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of Garden City Mall, along Thika Road, about a 20-minute drive from the Nairobi CBD. The restaurant is really spacious and clean, with modern art lining the walls. For extra seating, it has a terrace where you can have your meal while enjoying the fresh air. We arrived at the restaurant at around 6.30pm, right before their happy hour ended. The moment you enter the restaurant you are assaulted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The waitresses were gracious and showed us a table for four. I ordered a Texas Burger which goes for KSh1100 and a Long Island, also KSh1100. I never miss the chance to take advantage of happy hour?. Their happy hour offer is really good, you get two cocktails of your choosing for the price of one. The long islands arrived within 5 minutes and the burgers arrived around 15 minutes later. The burger was really tasty and I was satisfied by the end of my meal. In my opinion the Texas burger is the best burger in their menu. It’s made up of beef, bacon, cheese, fried egg and BBQ sauce. I didn’t get a chance to try my friend’s meals, but they said they were satisfied with their meals too. Artcaffé – Garden City Mall offers the perfect atmosphere for meeting up with your friends.

I would like to begin by saying that the staff at Art Café are absolute gems! They are so friendly and respond to customer requests so efficiently and promptly. It was my friend’s birthday and we decided to have dinner there mostly because we wanted to try out their famous caramel cake and partly because the dinner date was so last minute. We decided on the Garden City branch on Thika Road, about a half hour’s drive from Nairobi CBD. The glass door entryway leads to ample sitting space, the reception, kitchen and bakery. From the ground floor, you have a view of Garden City Gardens since the sitting places are on the edge of the mall perimeter. The restaurant has a designated smoking area out on the terrace. As I took off my coat and sat down, a waiter handed me two menus to select from – a drinks menu and a food menu. The food menu was very versatile and pocket friendly with lots of options.  The alcoholic drinks were a bit on the pricier side. While I waited for my date to arrive, I pondered over my choices. She arrived a few moments later and I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which a spicy mojito and she had mashed potatoes and chicken with a long island. Their cocktails go for half price during happy hour which is from 4pm to 7pm so I had just missed it. The waiter took our orders and menus and left. Our food arrived in about twenty minutes. The plating was appealing and I was famished so it certainly whetted my appetite. The meatballs were cooked to perfection and the spaghetti were just right. My date did comment that her chicken was a little dry but otherwise, the meal was scrumptious.  The bathrooms are located on the ground floor to the right of the stairs which might me cumbersome if you are dining on the first floor. There is always contant music playing at the restaurant as well. For dessert, we had the caramel cake with the words “Happy birthday!” written on the plate on chocolate frosting.  I did not enjoy the spicy mojito very much quite frankly. In total, the bill came to 45$ for both my date and I. I would definitely visit the place again for a dinner date. I would rate it a 8/10.
