Nakuru has some of my favourite nightclubs outside Nairobi. And Nairobians often flock to this clubs on weekends to blow off some steam. These are some of the top and most popular clubs/pubs in Nakuru.
Platinum 7D is one of the most popular clubs in Nakuru Town. Nairobians often flock to this club on weekends to enjoy the good music and have drinks with their friends. Its location along the Old Nairobi Rd makes it easy to find and accessible if you travelling from Nairobi. The alcohol prices in this club are similar to other clubs in Nairobi.
This club hidden inside the Nakuru town-centre along Utalii Road is arguably the most beautiful club in Nakuru. Seb’s dance floor is located on top of a huge screen that projects lights and patterns as you dance on it. This is a unique dancefloor and I haven’t seen anything similar to it in Nairobi. The deejays are really good and alcohol never runs dry. When in Nakuru make sure you visit Seb’s.
Culture Mambo is a beautiful lounge and restaurant located along Government Road, Opposite Vicmark Trading Centre. Its beautiful interior decor and lighting have made Culture Mambo a favourite party venue for both revellers and locals. Unfortunately, Culture Mambo isn’t as famous among Nairobians as other clubs on this list. But once you go to this club you won’t party anywhere else. Culture Mambo has a bright future in the Nakuru Partying scene.
After a day of touring Nakuru, Moca Loca Lounge is the perfect place to unwind and dance the night away. The lounge, located along Kenyatta Avenue, offers a wide range of meals from salads to pizzas and fries. The cocktails here are also extremely good and you will be tempted to return here for more. Moca Loca also has really good music with deejays, karaoke, and live bands performing on different days of the week.
Club Dimples is located along Kenyatta Avenue right in the heart of Nakuru. Dimples is probably the oldest club in Nakuru, and I’ve known it since I was a child. However, the old age hasn’t deterred people from coming here. This club is still popular among the youth and attracts large crowds every weekend. The ambience in Club Dimples is really good, and they play awesome music often inviting local musicians and popular DJs.
Xcape Grill & Lounge is located along Oginga Odinga Avenue in Naka Estate. The layout of this club is really good and the lighting creates the perfect mood for dancing and partying. The music here is fantastic and the club often invites celebrity DJs such as DJ Joe Mfalme. Roast meat is also sold at a really good price, and I recommend it.
If you want to have a chill conversation with your friends over a drink. Then Taidy’s along Oginga Odinga Avenue is the perfect place to do it. Taidy’s has both a restaurant and a sports bar, with the sports bar being on the first floor. The service here is very good and the meals enjoyable. The music is not usually too loud, making a conversation with your friends possible.
Sans Chic is a really beautiful restaurant located along Kenyatta Avenue in the business district of Nakuru Town. The bar has a really good atmosphere that is perfect for parties. The food here is really good and drinks are sold at affordable prices. The venue also has ample parking, so you can arrive here late at night without fear of missing parking space.
9) Tiki Lounge
Located on the first floor of Westside Mall, Tiki Lounge is one of the high-class lounges in Nakuru. It is a favourite among expatriates and the richer residents of Nakuru. The ambience in Tiki Lounge is always good, and once you visit it, you’ll always want to come back. The karaoke nights held here every Friday from 7 pm are usually very entertaining, and if you love karaoke, I suggest you check it out.
The Leather Bar is located inside Sarova Woodlands Hotel & Spa. It is a luxury bar and the décor in it reflects just that. The bar is furnished with leather and wood creating an executive look. It is the perfect atmosphere to enjoy your expensive cognac, and money spent here never feels wasted. The Leather Bar also serves cocktails, beer and wines. The bar is usually frequented by tourists, hotel guests and businessmen. However, it never has a lot of young people; even young hotel guests rarely go there. This is because it is not a place that will provide the wild fun that young people enjoy. However, if you want to enjoy your expensive drink in peace, The Leather Bar is the perfect place to do it. I’ve added it to the list for the people who enjoy that type of drinking atmosphere.
