For a chain store that is still pretty new, Quickmart have managed to penetrate the Nairobi supermarket scene and proved to be a favourite among shoppers. Their newer branches are even more modern with glass walls and huge space with a warehouse design. I love shopping at Quickmart because the staff are resourceful, helpful, friendly and it is a family-friendly place. They have a deli which sells delicacies such as kebabs, spring rolls, rice, beef stew, fish fillet, chicken and other Kenyan meals. When I am too lazy to cook, this is my favourite store to get a yummy meal at affordable prices. They have a bakery as well where they sell their very own packaged bread at cheap prices, cake, muffins, biscuits, mandazi and creamy donuts with sprinkles. They can also make cakes on order for your birthday with preferences on design. I love their cakes – they do a pretty good job at the decor and their pricing is 10$ per kilogram. As most supermarkets here in Kenya do, they supply smart cards where they award points for shopping, which you can redeem to get a subsidized cost on your purchases. This is highly beneficial if you are a regular shopper at Quickmart, like me. Their grocery section is well-stocked with fresh groceries. You can either purchase groceries by the kg and go cut them up for yourself or buy already packaged cut-up groceries. The supermarket has an electronic section, clothes section, toiletries, furniture and an alcoholic section. Quickmart is quite busy in the evenings with most shoppers making their purchases on their way home from work. There is ample parking space and the staff are quite helpful in loading your purchases to your car when overwhelmed. Overally, I would recommend this place for all your shopping needs. I plan on making my last-minute Christmas shopping at the store
