Urban Gourmet Burger

Let me start by saying that the staff here is amiable. From the cooks to the servers, you can tell everyone here enjoys their job, which shows in the food quality and service. For example, I came here and ordered a Chicken burger at the beginning of the mount. It was delicious, with great texture, with the chicken was perfectly done. Today I came to try the beef and ordered a beef burger and fries. The burger was excellent and served with fries, fresh tomatoes, and lettuce. The fries were perfectly cooked also and were terrific.

Urban Burger doesn’t disappoint! if you are looking for good burgers at a great value, Urban Gourmet Burger was our first choice! They have a fantastic menu coupled with the ‘Crazy Monday’ offer where they offer 2 burgers at KSH 990 accompanied with fries, coleslaw and some veggies that I’d bet my right thumb-toe that no one ever eats! One order I knew wouldn’t disappoint and which I highly recommend, is my all-time favorite -Texas Burger which has a prime beef patty with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg, lettuce, and barbecue sauce. My friend ordered a Sloppy Joe burger which had minced beef in sweet pepper and tomato sauce topped with fried onion making it deliciously messy with a side of French fries. The service was quite fast and the meals were ready in no time. Urban Burger Prestige branch continues with the same design as the other branches. There are some high tables by the windows at the back but the majority of the seating area has four-seater low tables that are quite comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide ample lighting into the restaurant, which isn’t that big, but the unobstructed views to the outside psychologically give the space extra depth and room. The large screen TV sets are hung on the walls at a good height for them to to be a distraction but at the same time provide some entertainment for when your eye is feeling a little adventurous. The staff and waiters are really polite which just adds to the experience. I like what they did with the presentation with the burger being the main event of the meal and the top slightly withdrawn for you to add your poisons (mine’s ketchup) on it! The salads and veggies come neatly in their own little white China and the fries come in a mesh cooking basket that’s just for aesthetics… All this is housed in a wooden frame with an oil absorbent paper to sit on. Nothing but joy here. Well done! A good burger is a thing of beauty. This was virtually flawless. The only improvement I would recommend is having the option of a salad to accompany the fries.

I have eaten chicken wings before but I must admit the ones I had from urban burger were exceptional. I went to urban burger located at Koinange street. There’s no parking space there so it’s better going with a cab or on foot. Just at the entrance you’ll find a security guard that will direct you up and the first thing you see is a pool table before heading to the counter to make your order. Then at the counter there are three cheerful attendants who take your order with love and tells you to go upstairs if you’ve never been there because that’s where the ambience is. Those lovely ladies know how to do the assignment. There’s a bar upstairs you can order some cocktail as you wait for your food to get ready. On this particular day I ordered some chicken wings takeaway with barbecue whatever my girlfriend wanted that. It took them exactly ten minutes to get my order ready. Cool right. You can play pool as you wait for your order. They have their take away option but you can just have a table and have some good time there. There’s a big screen for football lovers. When in town you never have to worry of missing a game just head over to urban burger and get your drink or food and enjoy. I loved the wings and they wewe on offer 20 wings for 1100 shillings. I would love to go back just get the wings

If you ever find yourself in Nairobi and are looking for the best burger joint in town please don’t hesitate to go to Urban burger. My favorite branch is Westgate Mall. I love the aesthetics of this place from the brick wall and the black&yellow color theme that just seems to match this space. They have an offer every end Month #burgerfest and Monday #crazymonday where you get 2 burgers for the price of 1 (ksh. 990)though I wouldn’t advise on buying burgers on this day….yes I know 🥲such a good offer to resist. Reason being they have so many back to back orders that the quality of burgers is not the same compared to the other days of the week and the wait time can be so exhausting. I normally like going on Thursdays from 3pm so that when 4pm strikes..I can also enjoy their happy hour till 7pm😃 (literally hit two birds one stone). My favorite is the Texas burger minus the egg…it’s such a yum juicy filling of bacon,beef patty and cheese. I have also tried the sloppy Joe but I found it to be too messy and the buns kind of become mushy….but please dont shy away from trying because the flavor is 10/10. Overall the service is 9/10,great ambience,fair prices for such great flavors and the staff are very friendly. And FYI I know they say that during the deal days that its dine-in only but you really don’t have to finish the burgers on site…you can always carry the extra home..and I highly recommend you try the salted caramel milkshake..such a huge portion for only 420/=

Urban Gourmet Burger commonly known as Urban Burger has easily become my go to favourite on most Monday evenings for their two burgers for the price of one Monday deal. They have numerous branches including one at Garden City Mall, Prestige Mall, Nairobi Town and at Village Market. They always have great deals so I’m always looking out for their burger of the month of offers so I don’t miss out on their amazing deals. My favorite meal there is their double lamb burger with a side of onion rings and their Texas burger. Their milkshakes are really nice too. I opt to visit their Garden City Branch most times instead of their Nairobi Town one due to its close proximity to school. Going there in the evening is definitely a much better preference than any other time of the day since you get to enjoy discounted cocktail and draftbeer prices during happy hour everyday from 4p.m to 7p.m. Their cocktails range from $6 to $7.5 so during happy hour their offer is always buy one and get another cocktail free! Their customer service is great however there’s times especially on weekends when the place is packed, my order was delayed for over 30 minutes while other people who came in after. They however compensated the long wait with extra fries immediately after they discovered how much of an inconvenience they’d been. Besides that, my experience there has been great . A burger every other day definitely keeps the cravings away!

This restaurant has a few branches in Nairobi. At Capital Centre, Prestige Plaza and at TRM. The closest to my area is TRM. I’ve been to this restaurant a few times. The ambience is okay. It has a modern setting and the tables are well spaced. The first time I was here was with a group of friends and it was a good time for sure. We went on a monday and found they had a burger offer for BOGOF. They have different burgers to choose from. My favourite one was the Texas burger which went for 990KES. The rest of my friends ordered different burgers but they all liked it. I really loved mine. It was huge! All burgers come with a side of fries. For drinks we had a few beers and some had milkshakes. They usually have a happy hour for beers. I loved my vanilla milkshake. Their customer service is fairly good. The members if their staff are polite and willing to help you with what you need.They have parking space in the area at a fee. The food is what keeps me coming.

I am a huge fan of burgers. I can have burgers 5 times a week. You know, for burger week, I actually had a burger every day of the week. I remember the one I had at Urban Gourmet. I went to their branch in Garden City. Parking is charged at KES50 per hour. Considering it was burger week, the place had some traffic but I was able to to get a seat. The set up it urban. They have a good balance of black and gold. The set up allows for dates, business meetings and family outings. The joint also has a glass wall. It looks pretty cool. I waited for almost five minutes before I got the menu. I can’t complain since it was a busy day. They have quite a variety but I settled on Santa Fe burger which goes for KES900 but during burger week, everything is on offer. I have to say, it was a bit dry for my liking. I had to add lots of ketchup to get the juicy feeling. The food wasn’t that good but the ambience was great.

This restaurant is hyped for their burgers. They have a few branches in Nairobi, TRM and capital center among others. Parking here is paid for at 50/= per hour. I’ve gone to the branch at trm and I wasn’t to impressed. I walked in into the restaurant and found a table for my 3 friends. We didn’t wait long till the waiters came and handed us our menus. The place is very clean and very chilled ambience or vibe. It wasn’t very full but it took some time to get our food. They also confused our order and brought something that we didn’t order. Even after asking about it, the waiter did not switch the orders and my friend opted to eat it as it was. We had their burgers, each one a different type. I think I had the crunchy chicken burger which goes for 800/=. It was good but I really didn’t like the whole meal in general. My friend who had ordered a Texas burger which goes for 950/= and liked it. Their burgers come with a side of fries. I think their service may need some work but the place in general is okay. They usually have offers for burgers on Mondays for BOGOF though you have to wait for sometime for your food on this day. Maybe I’ll try their branch in capital center

If you are talking to me about burgers and you mention a restaurant that’s not Urban Gourmet just know the conversation is going to end there. I’ve had several burgers in so many restaurants but very few can actually compare with the burgers from Urban Gourmet. It has several branches all around Nairobi but the branches I frequent mostly are the ones in Capital center and the one in Garden City. The burgers are always well done for the price that you pay talking about value for your money would be an understatement. All the way from the food to the simple yet elegant decor, everything is done so keenly and just to my liking. Their prices are very fair with my favorite deal of course being their Monday deal. Anyone who has dined here will tell you this is practically a deal of the century. It sounds exaggerated but I promise I’m not lying. My favorite burger is the chicken schnitzel burger. On normal days it’s 890/= and it’s just a simple crunch chicken burger served with onion ,aioli and white cabbage salad. A lot of people say it’s dry but with the right amount of ketchup it taste perfectly fine. Their Texas burger is also pretty good and of all the burgers I find it the most tasty. On many occasions, when people ask me what to send me as a comfort food my answer ninety percent of the time is get me an Urban Gourmet burger. Their urban shakes are also a must recommend and don’t forget to grab one when you pay a visit to this place. So sweet and creamy.

Urban Gourmet’s Crazy Monday’s 2 burgers for Kshs.990 is such a steal of a deal. The offer is a sit in only offer for two burgers for the price of one .They have a three category burger list to choose from. 1. Beef burgers (7 flavors ) 2. Chicken burgers (3 flavors) , 3. Veggie burgers (2 flavors), all which are served with chips or onion rings and a fresh salad. I have tried out all Urban Gourmet’s burger flavors and three of the 12 burger flavors are my absolute fave. 1) Chili Beef burger which is made up of Prime beef patty with garlic mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickle and homemade chili sauce 2) Santa Fe Beef burger made of prime beef patty with guacamole, jalapeno peppers and tomatoes 3) Grilled chicken served with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. These burgers are thick, juicy, and all the ingredients come together pleasantly to bring forth big, sloppy, juicy and particularly satisfying burgers.

If you like an assortment of cheezy, juicy burgers with thick patties grilled to perfection according to your preferences then Urban Gourmet is the place to be! Urban Gourmet Village Market is located one corner of the mall, away from busy shoppers. The restaurant had interior decor based on the colours of the restaurant – black and yellow. They are usually open from 9am to around 10pm. I went to Urban Gourmet on a Friday evening after an entire afternoon of shopping in the mall. The mall itself is quite large and has a lot of parking space on the grounds and in the basement. Urban Gourmet would not be the best restaurant to visit at the mall if you want a good view since it has the disadvantage of being at an unremarkable corner. When I arrived, a waitress promptly handed me the menu and I quickly chose the Texas Burger which I had been craving all week and a side of onion rings. The Texas Burger basically comprises of a beef patty, a fried egg, cheese, bacon strips, lettuce and tomatoes in between the softest buns. I know the sound of that rings the calorie bells in your mind but the delight it causes to your taste buds is certainly worth it. The burger, as usual, did not disappoint and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are efficient and welcoming and this would certainly be the place to be if you’re looking to have a quiet meal. My bill came to a total of 9$ but they do have a 2for1 offer on Mondays where you get two burgers and a side of either onion rings or fries.

Urban gourmet has so many branches in Nairobi I even lose count. The branch I frequent most is the one in the garden city that is located in the same space as Art Caffe but I’ve visited quite a lot even this branch in Village market. This restaurant literally transforms the burger experience. 100% recommend.

The burgers are very filling and tasty. I have tried all the burgers on their menu and my favourite one has to be the Texas burger. I also like The Hulk but I think I mostly get excited because it’s enormous hence the name. The patty is usually well done and all the fillings just add so much life to the burgers. The Texas burger is made up of Prime beef patty with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg, lettuce, and barbecue sauce.

The Hulk on the other hand is made up of Two prime beef patties with double cheese, fried onions, garlic mayonnaise, ketchup, lettuce & tomatoes. You can choose either a side of fries or onions rings that are usually served with homemade dip to accompany your burger. The burgers are very fairly priced: ranging from the lowest at 790 kshs to 1290 kshs for the highest (the Hulk). The best part is always deals, deals, and more deals. Every Monday all burgers on the menu except The Hulk have an offer to buy two at the price of 990 only and who wouldn’t love that?
